The National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) was launched by the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD) on 29th September 2015. It provides a methodology to rank educational institutions in India. Developed by a Core Committee appointed by the MHRD, the NIRF evaluates institutions based on five key parameters: Teaching, Learning and Resources; Research and Professional Practices; Graduation Outcomes; Outreach and Inclusivity; and Perception. This framework aims to encourage academic excellence and foster healthy competition among institutions.
