Krishi Vidya Nidhi Yojana – Eligibility Criteria
1. CM-KISAN Beneficiary Parent: The student’s parent must be an eligible beneficiary registered under the CM-KISAN scheme under either of its two components:
(a) Support to Farmers for Cultivation, or
(b) Livelihood Support to Landless Agricultural Households. The parents’ CM-KISAN eligibility is verified at the Chief District Agriculture Officer (CDAO) level during the application process.
2. Merit-Based Admission: The student must have obtained admission on a merit basis in a Government Institution, or a Private Institution with a valid AISHE code (All India Survey on Higher Education) of the State, or a Premier Government Institution (both inside and outside the State).
3. No Dual Scholarship: A student cannot avail the Krishi Vidya Nidhi Yojana while receiving any other scholarship simultaneously. If already receiving another scholarship, the student must shift to the Krishi Vidya Nidhi Yojana. Only one scholarship can be availed at a time.
4. One Professional Course Only: A student can avail the scholarship for only one professional course and shall not be eligible for a second professional course.
5. Odisha Institutions Only (Private): No private institution outside the State of Odisha shall be allowed to participate. Private institutions must be located within Odisha and have a valid AISHE code. Premier Govt. Institutions like NIT, IIT, IIM, AIIMS, and ICAR institutes are eligible both inside and outside the state.
6. All Categories Eligible: The scheme is open to students from all social categories, including SC, ST, OBC, EBC, SEBC, and General. There is no income limit; the primary condition is the parent’s CM-KISAN beneficiary status.

Covers tuition fees, annual fees, one-time fees, hostel charges, and any other non-refundable fees deposited by the student. Refundable charges such as caution money or security deposits are NOT covered.
