- Applicants must be permanent residents of Odisha.
- Students must be enrolled and regularly attend classes in any regular undergraduate (UG) or postgraduate (PG) course in State Universities, Government institutions, non-government aided colleges, or aided Sanskrit colleges and unaided private colleges taking admissions through SAMS under the Higher Education Department’s jurisdiction.
Ineligibility of Scheme –
- Students who are enrolled in open universities or pursuing higher education through distance learning or correspondence courses, or those undertaking self-financed courses under the PPP (Public-Private Partnership) mode, are not eligible to receive scholarships under this scheme.
- Students currently receiving scholarships under the KALIA scheme for professional and technical courses are not eligible.

7) Gopabandhu Sikhya Sahayata Yojana – This financial assistance scheme was launched by the Government of Odisha to support the education of economically disadvantaged students. It aims to reduce dropout rates by providing monetary aid for pursuing higher education.

- The student must be pursuing their studies in Class 11 or 12.
- The student must be studying in a Higher Secondary School affiliated to the Council of Higher Secondary Education, Odisha.

- Open for students belonging to the General, SC, ST, or OBC/SEBC categories.
- Students must be pursuing vocational education through I.T.I. / I.T.C. courses or enrolling in Polytechnic/Diploma programs to acquire technical skills and improve their career prospects.
- The child must belong to a beneficiary family that has been continuously registered for at least one year with the Odisha Building and Other Construction Workers’ Welfare Board (OB & OCWW Board).
