Digital Gujarat Registration – FAQs
How do I register on the Digital Gujarat Portal?
Visit the official website at digitalgujarat.gov.in to register on the Digital Gujarat Portal. Click on ‘Citizen Login’ and then select ‘New User? Register Here.’ Enter your active mobile number, full name, date of birth, and create a password. Providing an email ID is optional. After filling in the details, solve the captcha and verify your mobile number using the OTP sent to it. Once you submit the form, your Digital Gujarat account will be successfully created, usually within a few minutes.
Why am I not receiving OTP during Digital Gujarat registration?
Not receiving an OTP during registration is a common issue and can occur due to several reasons, such as Do Not Disturb (DND) being activated on your mobile number, poor network connectivity, or entering an incorrect mobile number. To resolve this, ensure that DND is disabled, check that you have a strong network signal, wait for a couple of minutes, and then request the OTP again. If the issue continues, try registering with a different mobile number or contact the Digital Gujarat helpline at 1800-233-5500 for assistance.
Should I register with Aadhaar on Digital Gujarat? Is it mandatory?
Aadhaar linking is not mandatory for basic registration on the Digital Gujarat Portal. However, it is strongly recommended. Linking your Aadhaar helps in faster verification for scholarships, smooth processing of certificates, and direct benefit transfer (DBT) of funds. If you do not link Aadhaar during registration, you can add it later by updating your profile.
What should I do if I forget my password after Digital Gujarat registration?
If you forget your password, go to the login page and click on ‘Forgot Password.’ Enter your registered mobile number or email ID, verify your identity using the OTP sent to your mobile, and then create a new password. Make sure your registered mobile number is active so that you can receive the OTP without any issues. The process is simple and quick.
Which documents do I need for Digital Gujarat registration?
For basic registration on the Digital Gujarat Portal, you only need an active mobile number to receive the OTP, and an email ID is optional. However, after registration, especially if you plan to apply for scholarships or certificates, you should keep certain documents ready. These include your Aadhaar card, bank account details or passbook, academic mark sheets and admission proof, caste and income certificates (for SC/ST/OBC/SEBC/EWS scholarship applicants), and a recent passport-size photograph.
