“This number is only for WhatsApp, no calls can be entertained on this number”, he said, adding, “The petitioner will receive grievance registered number through WhatsApp.”
The director in a release said that grievances/complaints/suggestions regarding Overseas Scholarship, Pre Matric & Post Matric Scholarships, Shaadi Mubarak etc. could be sent on this number.

The Department of Minorities Welfare was established in the year 1993 with the objective to look after the Socio Economic Development and Educational Advancement of Minorities in the State. The main functions of the Department include introducing schemes for the development of minorities, introducing educational concessions for students of minority communities, implementing schemes for development of women and children of minority communities, providing training and employment opportunities, and providing guidance for entrepreneurial ventures development by the minority communities.
The Minorities Welfare Department is implementing programmes both under the state budget and centrally sponsored schemes. For the year 2016-2017, the state government, had provided INR 1200.0 crores for different schemes.
According to 2011 Census, the population of Minorities in Telagana State was about 50.05 lakhs.
