New Delhi, 03, December, 2021: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister, Yogi Adityanath, has commemorated an online transfer of scholarship worth INR 458.66 crore to around 12.17 lakh meritorious students under the Purv Dasham Dashamottar Chhatravriti Yojana Scholarship Scheme 2021-22.
As of now, the UP government has transferred the scholarship of the first phase to the account of the students. For the remaining students (second phase), the scholarships will be given at the end of December, 2021.
A tweet has been released on the official twitter handle of Yogi Adityanath mentioning that an online disbursement of scholarship worth Rs 458.66 crores has been released for 12,17,631 meritorious students under Purv Dasham Dashamottar Chhatravriti Yojana Scholarship Scheme 2021-22.
Note: Previously, around 20 lakh students belonging to minority communities received scholarships under various schemes by the UP government. The government claims to have rolled out scholarships to around 20.16 lakh students in the last four-and-a-half years.
DG Shakti Portal 2021-22: Details
Recently, the Uttar Pradesh government began planning the distribution of smartphones and tablets among the state’s youth from the second week of December, 2021. As of now, the government aims to disburse around 2.5 lakh tablets and 5 lakh smartphones in the first lot.
For this, it is all set to launch a dedicated portal named DG Shakti. Smartphones, tablets, as well as the content given to the students will be processed through the DG Shakti portal itself. Similarly, information about smartphones and tablets will be given to the students from time to time on their respective mobile numbers and email IDs.
What is the Eligibility Criteria for DG Shakti Portal 2021-22?
- Applicants should be a resident of Uttar Pradesh.
- The annual earnings of the household should be less than or equal to INR 2 lakh.
- Applicants should be enrolled in Graduation, Post Graduation, Technical or Diploma courses (any stream)
DG Shakti Portal 2021-22
The aim of Digi Shakti Portal is to register eligible college students under the UP Free Tablet/Smartphone Scheme. Apart from this, the information of administration and distribution of the scheme can also be saved by means of this portal. The residents of the state will not be required to go to any authorities to get the benefits of the UP Free Tablet/Smartphone scheme and can avail these services directly through the portal.
