The term ‘Science’ basically refers to the process of explaining, understanding and investigating the natural and physical world with the help of experiment and observations. Being a crucial part of our day-to-day life, continuous advancements in science and technology has tremendously transformed the way we understand the things around us.
To further boost research in science, the Central government and various state governments of the country have launched a number of scholarships for science students and scientists. To recognize the performance of outstanding active scientists, the Science and Engineering Research Board announces J C Bose National Fellowship for citizens up to 68 years of age. The fellowship includes monthly stipend of INR 25,000, annual research grant of INR 15 Lac and INR 1 Lac per annum overhead for the host institute.
In an effort to provide opportunity for aspiring and brilliant students to climb the ladder of success, the Vinod and Saryu Doshi Foundation announces this scholarship. This science scholarship is applicable for students having first class degree at undergraduate level. The selected students will be awarded with a fellowship amount of up to INR 3 Lac.

Students who are willing to pursue a PhD program in statistical science, can avail INSIGHTS scholarships introduced by International Training Network of Statistics for High Energy Physics and Society. The students who have a full-time degree in Physics, Mathematics, Statistics or other related fields of four years can apply for the scholarship that covers EUR 3,318.37 per month and other allowances.
The students enrolling in the MSc program (Chemical Engineering, Life Science & Technology, Applied Physics, Nanobiology and Science Education & Communication) stand a chance to win contribution towards their living expenses and fees for 2 years under this scholarship program which is being offered by the Delft University of Technology.
In pursuit of promoting the need for preservation and protection of the oceans and sea lives, the Khaled Bin Sultan Living Oceans Foundation announces Science without Borders Challenge. The students of age group 11 to 19 years can take up this challenge and stand a chance to win cash award up to USD 500.
