How to Check SVMCM Scholarship Status Online
You can check your status only through your applicant dashboard. There is no status check by name or roll number.
Check SVMCM Status Using Applicant ID and Password
- Visit the official portal. Open svmcm.wb.gov.in.
- Click “Applicant Login.” It is at the top right of the homepage.
- Enter your login details. Type your 15-character Applicant ID, your password and the captcha code, then click “Login.”
- Open “Track Application.” Click it on your dashboard.
- View your status. A pop-up shows your current status, along with the date and time you submitted.
- Save a copy. Take a screenshot or print the page. You’ll need it if you raise a grievance.
SVMCM Status Check for Toppers
The portal has a separate category for toppers of the Madhyamik and Higher Secondary merit lists. If you applied under the Topper category, log in with the Applicant ID generated for that application. If you choose the wrong category, the portal won’t find your application.

SVMCM Scholarship Status 2026-27 – Forgot Your Applicant ID or Password?
- On the Applicant Login page, click “Forgot Applicant ID” or “Forgot Password.”
- Enter your registered mobile number or email ID.

SVMCM Scholarship Status 2026-27 – Payment Status Check
The scholarship is paid through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) into the bank account you entered in your application. The account must be in the student’s own name and must be active.

If you get an SMS saying your transaction failed, the bank could not credit your account. The usual causes are:
- The account is dormant or closed.
- The IFSC code is wrong.
- A minor account has not been converted to a regular account.

- Visit your bank branch. Make sure your account is active and your KYC is up to date.

SVMCM Scholarship Status 2026-27 – What to Do for Stuck Status
Stuck at “Application Submitted”: Your institution has not verified your application yet. Visit your school or college scholarship cell and ask them to complete the verification.
Stuck at “Forwarded by HOI”: Your application is waiting for Department verification. In busy cycles, this stage can take a few months. If the delay is unusually long, email the helpdesk. Include your Applicant ID, full name and institution.
Shows “Disbursed” but no money in your account: Wait up to seven working days. Then check with your bank. If no credit has arrived, raise a grievance on the portal.
Status shows “Rejected”: Common reasons include:
- The income certificate is not issued by the competent authority.
- A document is unreadable or missing.
- Marks are below the required cut-off.
- The student is also receiving another government scholarship for the same course.
Only your HOI or the District Inspector (DI) can unlock a submitted application for correction.

SVMCM Scholarship Status 2026-27 – Renewal Status Check
Renewal status is checked the same way as a fresh application. Log in with your existing Applicant ID and open Track Application.
To be eligible for renewal:
- Higher Secondary and undergraduate students need at least 60% marks in the promotional examination. Postgraduate students need at least 50%, combining both semesters.
- You must pass all examinations in the first attempt.
- Apply within one month of admission to the next class.
- Upload your semester marksheets: Semesters 1 and 2 for the first renewal, Semesters 3 and 4 for the second. MBBS students upload professional examination marksheets.
Renewal applicants will also need a utilisation certificate. You download it from your dashboard, get it signed by your HOI, and upload it as a PDF. Check your dashboard for this requirement before you submit your renewal.

SVMCM Scholarship Eligibility Criteria 2026-27
- You must be a permanent resident of West Bengal, enrolled in a regular course at an institution in the state.
- Your annual family income must not exceed ₹2.5 lakh. This does not apply to Kanyashree K3 applicants.
- Minimum marks:
- 60% for Higher Secondary and undergraduate courses
- 53% for general postgraduate courses
- 55% for technical postgraduate courses
- 45% at UG level for Kanyashree K3 applicants
- You cannot receive another government scholarship for the same course.
- The allowed passing year of the qualifying exam changes each cycle. Check the notification for your cycle.
