The Satya Scholarship Program is dedicated to empowering young individuals from disadvantaged socio-economic backgrounds by providing them with opportunities to thrive and equipping them with the skills to become future leaders. Each year, 100 students are selected and receive 100% tuition fee coverage under the Satya Scholarship Program. This scholarship is provided by the Nehru Sidhant Kender Trust (Trust), and it was founded in the year 1983 by Late Shri Sat Paul Mittal as a homage to India’s first Prime Minister, Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru.

Satya Scholarship Program Eligibility Criteria
Students must meet the eligibility criteria for the Satya Scholarship Program in order to fill out the application form. Ineligible students will be disqualified during the selection process.
- A minimum of 60% marks is required in the Class 12 exam.
- The student must have passed Class 12 from a school or college in the Ludhiana district
- The candidate must be a citizen and resident of India.
- The annual income of the family or the guardian of the student should be equal to or less than ₹5 Lakh from all sources.
- The scholarship is open to students pursuing 3–5-year UG/integrated master’s courses from one of the approved colleges in Ludhiana.
- Eligible courses include:
- Commerce: BBA and B.Com
- Engineering: B.Tech, B.E. (all streams), B.Sc, BCA, and B.Arch
- Medical: MBBS, BDS, BPT, B.Sc (Nursing), and B.Sc (Paramedics)
- Preference will be given to girls, athletes (state/national/international level), persons with disabilities, orphans, and children of single parents.
- Scholars must maintain at least 75% attendance, demonstrate good conduct, and secure a minimum GPA of 6 or 60% marks to continue receiving the scholarship.
- Applicants should not be recipients of any other scholarship.
Satya Scholarship Program 2025 Award
The Satya Scholarship Program 2025 covers 100% of the tuition fees, as per the course fee structure of the respective institutes, for the entire duration of the course based on actual expenses. If a selected student has already paid a portion of the course fees, the trust will reimburse these expenses directly to the student’s or the parent’s account upon submission of valid proof. Students residing in a college-managed hostel may request the trust to cover hostel and mess charges under the scholarship. However, such requests will be considered by the trust on a case-by-case basis.

Step 3: Now, log in to Buddy4Study with your registered ID or register for an account. If not registered, you can click on the ‘Create an Account’ button and provide your Email/Mobile number/Gmail account and then choose a password to create an account.
Step 4: You will now be redirected to the ‘Satya Scholarship Program 2025’ application form page.
Step 5: Click the ‘Start Application’ button to begin the application process.
Step 6: Fill in the ‘Check Your Eligibility’ form to ensure that you are eligible for this scholarship.
Step 7: Fill in the required details in the online application form and upload the relevant documents.

Satya Scholarship Program Selection Process
Satya Scholarship Program 2025 is a merit-cum-means scholarship with multiple stages in the selection process. Eligible students will be selected by the Trust, and its decision shall be final. The detailed selection process for the Satya Scholarship Program is explained below:
- Applicants will be shortlisted based on merit, family income, and vulnerability factors, with priority given to girl students, persons with disabilities (PWD), single parents, orphans, athletes, and those with critical illnesses.
- Top-qualified candidates will undergo document verification and must participate in telephonic or video interviews.
- The shortlisted candidates will be presented to the Jury appointed by the Trust, whose decision shall be final.
- A mandatory home visit or physical verification will be conducted for the final shortlisted candidates.
- Once approved by the Trust, the scholarship results will be announced, followed by the onboarding process for the Satya Scholars.
Satya Scholarship Program Renewal Criteria
Satya scholars can apply for the renewal of the Satya Scholarship Program for the subsequent years. However, they must meet the eligibility criteria to do so. These criteria are listed below.
- Scholars must remain continuously enrolled in their academic programs without any dropouts.
- They must maintain a minimum of 75% attendance in classes throughout the year.
- Good conduct is expected at all times, with no disciplinary issues.
- Academic performance must meet a minimum threshold of 6 GPA or 60% in their most recent semester or year, based on available marksheets.
- An annual academic grade report is required to verify successful completion of the most recent exam with good academic standing.
- Scholars must submit an essay highlighting their academic and non-academic progress, along with any notable achievements.
- To facilitate direct fund transfers to their institute, scholars must provide the fee structure or a bona fide letter from their institution.
