Introduced by the Nehru Sidhant Kender Trust, the Satya Scholarship Program is a merit-cum-means initiative aimed at helping deserving students overcome financial barriers to higher education. The scholarship provides 100% coverage of annual course fees along with accommodation and meal support for eligible scholars enrolled in 3–5-year undergraduate or integrated master’s programs. Through this initiative, the Trust seeks to encourage academic excellence while ensuring that talented students, especially girls and those from economically weaker backgrounds, have access to quality education and better career opportunities.

Satya Scholarship Program 2026 – Eligibility Criteria

Applicants interested in the Satya Scholarship Program 2026 must fulfil the following eligibility requirements.

  • Applicants must be enrolled in the first year of any 3 to 5-year undergraduate or integrated master’s program in one of the following disciplines:
  • Commerce: BBA, B.Com
  • Engineering & Technology: B.Tech, B.E. (all branches), B.Sc. (Engineering), BCA, B.Arch
  • Medical & Health Sciences: MBBS, BDS, BPT, B.Sc. (Nursing), B.Sc. (Allied and Healthcare)
  • Applicants must have passed the Class 12 Board Examination from a recognised board in Punjab with a minimum of 60% aggregate marks.
  • Students belonging to Punjab who have secured admission to any of the eligible courses at the 38 selected institutes located in the Ludhiana district are eligible to apply.
  • Students who are residents of Ludhiana district and have obtained admission to any of the eligible courses at one of India’s top 50 NIRF-ranked institutions are also eligible.
  • The annual parental income from all sources should not exceed INR 8 lakh. In the case of orphan applicants, the guardian’s income will be considered.
  • Applicants must be Indian citizens.
  • Candidates receiving financial assistance through any other educational scholarship are not eligible to apply.

Note: Preference will be given to:

  • Girl students
  • Sportspersons
  • Persons with Disabilities (PwD)
  • Orphan students
  • Children of single parents

For continuation of the scholarship in subsequent years, Satya Scholars must maintain:

  • A minimum of 75% attendance
  • Good academic conduct
  • At least a GPA of 6.0 or 60% marks, as applicable
  • Continued enrolment in the approved program

Satya Scholarship Program 2026 – Benefits

Career Assessment Test

Selected scholars under the Satya Scholarship Program 2026 will receive comprehensive financial assistance to help them complete their higher education without financial constraints. 

The scholarship offers 100% coverage of the annual course fee as per the approved fee structure of the selected institution for the entire duration of the eligible programme (3 to 5 years), subject to annual renewal based on the scholarship guidelines.

In addition to tuition fee support, scholars pursuing their education outside their hometown will receive assistance towards hostel and mess charges or PG/rented accommodation expenses. The support will be provided based on the institute’s approved hostel charges or the actual expenses incurred by the student, whichever is lower.

For students enrolled at institutes that do not provide hostel facilities, the scholarship offers a fixed monthly allowance of ₹5,000 to support accommodation and meal expenses.

Note:

  • Refundable charges such as caution money, security deposits, and other refundable institutional fees are not covered under the scholarship and must be paid by the student.
  • If a selected Satya Scholar has already deposited the tuition fee before the scholarship results are announced, the eligible amount will be reimbursed directly to the bank account of the student or the parent/guardian, as applicable.

  • Masked Aadhaar Card, Driving Licence, Voter ID, PAN Card, or any other valid government-issued photo identity proof
  • Current-year admission letter issued by the institute

    • Income Certificate issued by Tehsildar/BDPO
    • Salary Slips
