New Delhi, 20 December 2021 – Renault Nissan Technology and Business Centre India Private Limited (RNTBCI), in partnership with the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Madras, has launched a unique scholarship programme. This scholarship programme aims at helping BSc students studying in the areas of Programming and Data Science in IIT-Madras.

The scholarship inaugural ceremony took place on 15th December 2021 and was attended by Debashis Neogi – RNTBCI Managing Director, Ramakrishnan Ramanathan – Vice President, Renault Quality and Head CSR, Prof. Prathap Haridoss – Dean (Academic Courses), IIT Madras and Prof. Andrew Thangaraj – Coordinator, IIT Madras BSc Program.
During the ceremony, Debashis Neogi said, “We are delighted to partner with IIT Madras to empower 100 students from economically disadvantaged backgrounds to pursue their dreams to build a career in programming and data science.”
Renault Nissan Scholarship – Details
- As per the recent reports, Renault Nissan Technology and Business Centre India Private Limited will provide monetary help to 100 students from economically disadvantaged backgrounds to pursue the BSc in Programming and Data Science from IIT Madras. The initiative will be implemented through Renault’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR).
- The scholarship programme is offered 3 times a year and attracts learners from around the world.
- The scholarship programme is open to candidates located anywhere in the world*.
- The last date to apply for the scholarship is 21st December 2021 for admissions to the January 2022 term.
*About the online BSc course opportunity at IIT Madras
IIT Madras offers an online Bsc degree in programming and data science which can be pursued by students and working professionals from various educational backgrounds, locations, and age groups, giving them an opportunity to study at IIT Madras without attempting the JEE exam.
The last date to apply for this course (Jan 22 term) is the same as the last date to apply for the Renault Nissan Scholarship i.e. 21st December 2021.
