ONGC Sport Scholarship Scheme 2025- Eligibility Criteria
Before you apply for the scholarship, you must check out the eligibility criteria prescribed by ONGC. Here is the detailed eligibility criteria for the sports scholarship:
- Must be a citizen of India
- Must be between 15 and 20 years old as of 1st April 2025 (born between April 1, 2005 to April 1, 2010)
- Annual family income should be ₹5,00,000 or less
Who is Not Eligible for ONGC Sports Scholarship?
- Players who are employed or earning money by playing in professional leagues.
- Players who are receiving scholarship/stipend from organizations like SAI, Khelo India, other government bodies, or private trusts.
- Senior players who have received cash rewards from the government for winning medals in international events like Olympics, Asian Games etc.

ONGC Sports Scholarship – Rewards
Players selected for the scholarship are offered a scholarship amount depending on their age category and performance. The scholarship amount for the sub-junior category is comparatively less than that of the senior category.

Apart from scholarship amount, selected scholars will also get the opportunity to represent ONGC in domestic tournaments. The players will be provided kits and all the expenses will be covered by ONGC.
Moreover, Each scholar will get health insurance up to ₹5,00,000. Players can also get insurance by themselves and ONGC will reimburse premium up to ₹7000 per annum.
Note: The scholarship amount will be directly deposited to the scholar’s bank account. They need to submit a quarterly performance report to ONGC.
