New Delhi, 6 April 2022: On Tuesday, the Higher Education Department of Odisha extended the deadline to apply for and validate the e-Medhabruti and Vyasakabi Fakir Mohan Bhasabruti scholarships 2021-22 till 5 May 2022 and 20 May 2022, respectively.
The scholarships offered under e-Medhabruti are applicable for UG merit/PG merit/technical and professional-merit students and the Vyasakabi Fakir Mohan Bhasabruti is applicable for students enrolled in UG or PG courses in Odia.
Odisha UG-PG Scholarship Announcement
Previously, the last dates for online application for both e-Medhabruti and Vyasakabi Fakir Mohan Bhasabruti scholarships were 5 April and 20 April 2022. However, as per the recent notice, issued by the Higher Education Department of Odisha, the last date for online application and validation for both the scholarships is 5 May and 20 May 2022, respectively.
Moreover, online certification by the Principal/Head of the Institutions is mandatory for eligible students to receive e-Medhabruti and Vyasakabi Fakir Mohan Bhasabruti fresh scholarships.

| Medhabruti Junior Merit Scholarship eligibility criteria | The candidate requires a Class 10 certificate with 60% or more marks from a recognised institution by Odisha/CBSE/ICSE board or equivalent. The candidate must be enrolled in a regular +2 course of 10+2 pattern. |
| Medhabruti Senior Merit Scholarship eligibility criteria | The candidate requires a Class 12 certificate with 60% or more marks from a recognised institution by Odisha/CBSE/ICSE board or equivalent. | Eligibility criteria | Candidate must be a permanent resident of the state of Odisha. Candidates must have secured a score of 60% or above in B.A. (Hons.) Odia or M.A. Odia. |
