North South Foundation Scholarship 2025-26 – Important Dates, Eligibility, Benefits & More

The online registration for the North South Foundation (NSF) Scholarship is currently open for the year 2025-26. Students can apply for the NSF India Scholarship latest by January 31, 2026. Post application, students need to submit the hard copies of the application to the respective chapters, as this will mark the completion of the application procedure.

Scholarship Registration and Login

North South Foundation Scholarship is especially designed to provide financial assistance to meritorious and needy students throughout their undergraduate studies. It works on a first-come-first-served basis. And so, students are hereby advised to keep an eye on the application window and apply at the earliest to avail the benefits of the scholarship.

North South Foundation Scholarship 2026 – Eligibility Criteria

To ensure that the scholarship reaches deserving candidates, NSF has laid down specific eligibility criteria covering academic performance, family income, course of study, institution type, and entrance exam merit. Applicants must carefully review the conditions mentioned below before applying –

  • Diploma in Engineering & Agriculture (3 years)
  • Degree in Engineering (1st year & lateral entry in 2nd year from diploma)

NSF Scholarships – Eligible Schools/Colleges

Students who’ve secured admissions in government and private colleges are eligible for this scholarship. However, students studying in private engineering and diploma colleges shall only be considered, if they opt for any of the following courses –

B.Tech/B.E Degree

Please Note – All private college students must have their residence in a local area of their college / school, must submit BPL cards / ration cards and attend an interview by the Chapter Coordinator. Also, the total annual school fees of a student studying in a private school should be less than ₹50,000.

NSF Scholarships – Minimum Marks Requirement

Career Assessment Test

1. For Diploma in Engineering /Agriculture – The student must have secured 80% or more in Class 10.

2. For BE/B.Tech students (Regular Entry) – The student must have secured 85% or more in Class 10 and 12.

3. For BE/B.Tech students (Lateral Entry) – The student must have secured 85% or more in Class 10 and 80% or more in the diploma exam.

4. For B.Ed (4-year course) (Regular Entry)The student must have secured 85% or more in Class 10 and 12.

5. For MBBS, B.Pharma, BDS, & B.Sc (Ag.), B.Sc (Nursing) students – The student must have secured 85% or more in 10th and 12th standards.

NSF Scholarships – Other Requirements

  • The annual family income of the student must not exceed ₹2,00,000.
  • For MBBS, BDS, B.Pharma, B.E., B.Tech, B.Sc (Ag.) students, a maximum of 2 years of gap will be considered.
  • For renewal of the scholarship, Students must pass all subjects, semester wise, in one attempt, without any backlog.

Step 5 – The student will have to verify their credentials/account by clicking on the link they’ve received on their e-mail.

Step 6 – After verifying the account the student can now login with the credentials they had uploaded.

Step 7 – Click on the current application and fill in all the required information including, basic information, current education details, past education details, family member details, expense & finance details, upload photos and click on ‘Save’.

Step 8 – Once the student submits their online application their registration ID will be visible to them, and they can download the hard copy of the application. 

North South Foundation Scholarship 2026 – Benefits

The shortlisted students will avail the following benefits every year till completion of the chosen course subject to conditions.

  • Students pursuing Medicine (MBBS) will receive ₹30,000 per annum.
  • Students pursuing B.E., B.Tech, (Including lateral entry), BDS, B.Pharma, B.Sc. (Ag), B Sc (N), B.Sc, B.Ed., & BA B.Ed., will receive ₹25,000 per annum.
  • Students pursuing a Diploma in Engineering and Agriculture will receive ₹15,000 per annum.

  • CET/JEE/NEET rank card or seat allotment order showing the rank, self-certified
  • Application form signed with stamp by the principal/dean/HOD of the college where the student is studying.
  • Certificates showing marks secured from Class 10 to Class 12 (Self attested).
  • Self-attested Income certificate (current year) issued by revenue official or any other competent authority. 
  • Aadhar card self-attested
  • Passport size photograph of the student should be affixed on the application
  • Students studying Class 10, Class 12 and diploma in private school/college must submit a certificate from the school showing the amount of fees they paid to the school/college.
  • Ration card/BPL card – self certified
  • Fee payment receipt from school of students who passed both classes from private schools.

NSF Scholarships – Documents Required for Renewal Applicants

  • Mark sheet of the previous year / semesters -self certified by the student.
  • Fees paid receipt/s for the current year.
  • Certificate from the institutions where the student rendered seva.
  • A write up by the student on the work he did during 50 hours of Seva.

Frequently Asked Questions

How can I apply for the renewal of the NSF scholarship?

Once your fresh application gets approved, you must login and submit the renewal form. Visit the website, and login with your ID & Password which you have registered with NSF in 1st year, then go to renew application and fill the form and submit it.

Can I edit the application form after submission?

No, students will not be allowed to edit the application form once they’ve submitted it. This is why the portal gives the option to preview your application before submission, Students are advised to check every detail thoroughly before submitting.

Is an interview mandatory for the North South Foundation Scholarship?

Yes, an interview is mandatory. Students and at least one parent will be asked to go through a personal interview with the chapter coordinator. This interview will either be conducted face to face, or through a video call, in case face to face interview is not feasible.

What steps are to be taken after filling the application form?

After filling the application form for North South Foundation Scholarship, the student should download the hard copy of the application immediately. This hard copy of the application must be sent to your nearest Chapter Coordinator within a week of filing the online application.

What if I am unable to find a nearby Chapter Coordinator?

A student needs to locate the Chapter Coordinator near their college. If somehow you do not get anybody nearby, choose a Chapter Coordinator near your residence. And, if you could not locate a Chapter Coordinator at all, apply through the Hyderabad chapter.
