Madhya Pradesh Khiladi Protsahan Yojana (MPKPY) is the initiative of the State Government of Madhya Pradesh to promote and nurture sports talent within the State. The Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh, inaugurated the ‘Madhya Pradesh Khiladi Protsahan Yojana (MPKPY)’ for the development of the state’s labourers and their families. Through this scheme, construction labourers and their families will be encouraged to participate in sports competitions, and the winners will be honoured with incentive amounts. Under this scheme, families of the labourers will be provided monetary support as an incentive if selected. The government will provide incentive amounts in various categories under the scheme, encouraging those players who win competitions at different levels. The aim of this scheme is to promote participation in sports competitions among people from every stratum. The scheme encourages and promotes sports among the working class in order to help them realise their full potential. This ambitious scheme intends to provide a comprehensive support system for budding athletes. The applicants can avail the benefits under the MPKPY scheme at any point of time of the year.

Under this MPKPY scheme, a one-time financial assistance of ₹50,000 is provided to the wards of construction workers and their family members who have excelled in the domains of sports. It also ensures that the applicants receive proper guidance and training along with resources necessary to excel in their preferred sports discipline.

MP Khiladi Protsahan Yojana (MPKPY) – Eligibility Criteria

Students must fulfill the eligibility criteria mentioned below in order to apply under the Madhya Pradesh Khiladi Protsahan Yojana (MPKPY):

• Applicants must be more than 15 years old.
• They must be a ward of registered construction worker or a family member of construction workers registered in the State of Madhya Pradesh.
• Candidates must have achieved a significant position in a sports competition at the district, division, or the State level.
• Candidates must have won a medal or trophy in a sports competition organized under the MPKPY, or a competition organised by the Madhya Pradesh State Sports Council including the recognized sports association.

Interested candidates must visit the office of the Chief Executive Officer, District Panchayat and Commissioner/Chief Municipal Officer, Urban Body to obtain the application form for MPKPY scheme.

After obtaining the application form, applicants must fill in the required details, attach the relevant documents and submit it to the concerned department.

Under MPKPY scheme, Applications for awards under Category-A can be submitted through a recognised sports institution along with a certificate provided by the District Superintendent of Police (DSP) or District Sports Officer (DSO) to the designated officer as specified.
