New Delhi, Delhi Govt Scholarships 2025: The Delhi Department for Welfare of SC/ST/OBC/Minorities has launched various scholarship schemes for reserved candidates in the 2024-2025 academic session. Under these schemes, the government will also reimburse the tuition fees of eligible students.

The reimbursement will be applicable to all Scheduled Castes (SC)/Scheduled Tribes (ST)/Other Backward Classes (OBC) category students till Class 12. These students must be studying in recognized public/private schools under Delhi’s state-funded scheme. Moreover, if a student fulfills the criteria set by the department, she/he will be eligible for the respective scholarship schemes.

Delhi Govt Scholarships 2025 – Instructions to Schools
- The Delhi Department for Welfare of SC/ST/OBC/Minorities has issued separate guidelines about the schemes to all heads of schools and has also put them on its official website.
- All heads of schools (HoSs) are directed to encourage eligible students to directly apply online for the 2024-25 academic session on the e-district portal.
- All heads of schools (HoSs) must ensure displaying of information on the notice board regarding the launching of the concerned schemes.
- All heads of schools (HoSs) are required to set up a help desk in schools and nominate a nodal officer to assist the eligible students to apply online.
Delhi Govt Scholarships 2025 – Mukhyamantri Vidyarthi Pratibha Yojna Eligibility Criteria
- The objective of Mukhyamantri Vidyarthi Pratibha Yojna is to provide scholarships to the students studying in Classes 9 to 12 for enabling them to bear the expenses required for their studies.
- Students must be residents of the Government of National Capital Territory Of Delhi Act (GNCT) of Delhi.
- Students must score a minimum of 50% marks in Classes 9 and 10 and 60% marks in Classes 11 and 12.
- The annual family income of the student’s family must be INR 8 Lacs per annum.
- If students score 75% and above marks in the previous class, no income limit is applicable to SC/ST/OBC category students.
- The students must upload a Caste certificate (SC/ST/OBC) issued in the name of the student or her/his father’s name issued by the SDM/Deputy Commissioner (Revenue), Government of National Capital Territory of Delhi (GNCTD).
- The bank accounts of students should be in the name of the student (a Joint bank account with parent/guardian is also permissible) and should be active and seeded with their Aadhaar numbers.

- Repeaters in a particular class will not be eligible for this scheme.

Delhi Govt Scholarships 2025 – Pre and Post-Matric Scholarship for OBC, EBC and DNT (Denotified Tribes) Students Eligibility Criteria
- The objective of the Post-Matric Scholarship for OBC, EBC and DNT (Denotified Tribes) Students is to provide financial assistance to the Other Backward Classes (OBC), Economically Backward Class (EBC), and Denotified Tribes (DNT) students studying at pre and post-matriculation as well as pre and post-secondary stage to enable them to complete their education.
- The scholarships are open to Indian nationals only.
- The scholarship award will be sanctioned in the case of students whose parents/guardians’ income from all sources does not exceed Rs.2,50,000/- per annum.
- The students should be studying in Classes 9 and 10 on a full-time basis in Government schools only.
- They should belong to either of the OBC, EBC, and DNT (who are not covered under SC, ST, or OBC) categories through a valid certificate.

- The objectives of these scholarships are to support, through financial assistance, parents of children belonging to Schedules Castes (SC) and other disadvantaged categories for the education of their wards studying at the Pre and post-matric stages.
- The scholarships are open to Scheduled Castes (SC) category students in India.
- Students must be studying at pre and post-matriculation/pre and post-secondary (college/university) levels from government-recognized institutions within India.
- The student’s parents/guardian’s income must not exceed INR 2.5 lakh per annum.
- Students must not be receiving any other centrally/state-funded scholarship.
