About The Program
CBSE Merit Scholarship Scheme for Single Girl Child 2025 is an opportunity offered by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) to provide financial assistance to single female children who have passed the Class 10 examination from any CBSE-affiliated school. The scholarship aims to support meritorious single female students who are the only children of their parents and want to continue their higher school education. The selected students will receive monthly financial assistance of ₹1,000 for a maximum period of two years.

To be eligible, an applicant must:-
- be an Indian national
- be a single female child
- have secured 70% or more marks in the first five subjects in the Class 10 examination
- be studying in Class 11 and 12 in a CBSE-affiliated school where the tuition fee is not more than ₹3,000 per month
Note:
- NRI applicants of the Board are also eligible for the award.
- The tuition fee for the NRIs has been decided at a maximum of ₹6,000 per month.
Benefits
A scholarship of ₹1,000 per month will be given to the selected female students for a maximum period of 2 years.
Note:- The amount will be transferred through ECS/NEFT to selected girl students.
Documents
- Duly filled and attested affidavit (original) by the first class Judicial Magistrate/SDM/Executive Magistrate/Notary
- Attested undertaking by the school principal where the student is studying
How can you apply?
Eligible applicants can apply by following these steps:-
Step 1: Click on the 'Apply Now' button.
Step 2: Click on the 'Register' button and fill in the required details (Note: If already registered, log in using Gmail/Mobile number/Email ID).
Step 3: Navigate to the 'Apply Online' tab in front of the 'Single Girl Child Scholarship - 2025 (Fresh Application)' option and click on it.
Step 4: Enter the roll number and date of birth (as printed on the class 10 grade sheet).
Step 5: Fill in all the details carefully and submit the form.*
Step 6: Print the undertaking as provided in the 'Guidelines' document, fill it out, paste the photograph and get it attested by the school.
Step 7: Make an affidavit according to the format given in the 'Guidelines' document.
Step 8: Click the 'Upload Document' option and upload the scanned documents in a single PDF file of 1 MB.
Step 9: Go to the 'Confirmation Page' option and generate the confirmation page.
Note:-
- Only the applicants who successfully apply and complete the application will be redirected to generate a confirmation page.
- The PDF should contain all the pages (in the case of multiple pages).

Terms and Conditions
- The awarded scholarship will be renewed for 1 year on successful completion of Class 11.
- The renewal will depend on promotion to the next class, provided the scholar secures 50% or more marks in aggregate in the examination that determines her promotion to the next class.
- If a scholar drops out of their current course of study before finishing it, or if they change schools or courses, the scholarship renewal/continuation will need to be approved by the Board first.
- Scholarship once cancelled shall not be renewed under any circumstances. The decision of the Chairman of the Board will be final and binding in all such matters.
- Any resultant dispute arising out of this scholarship scheme will be subject to the sole jurisdiction of the court situated in Delhi/New Delhi only.
- Incomplete/offline applications or hard copies of requests will not be accepted.
