The long wait is finally over for all the students of Bihar as the Bihar Board 10th Class result has been declared by the Bihar Board of Secondary Education or BSEB on the official website biharboard.ac.in and on biharboardonline.bihar.gov.in.
Students also can check their results through SMS. They can send an SMS with typing BSEB and send it to 56263.
This year’s Class 10 topper is Prerna Raj who scored 457 marks (91.4%), while the second position is jointly shared by Pragya and Shikha Kumari. The third rank is bagged by Anupriya Kumari with a score of 452 marks. All the three toppers are from the same school Simultala Awasiya Vidyalaya. 68.89% students have passed the exam, a rise of 18.77% from the previous year.
The Bihar Board Class 10 result was earlier expected on June 20 but was postponed due to the missing of 42,000 answer sheets. The examination process for the Bihar Board Class 10 started on February 21 and ended on February 28, 2018, while the practical examination was held from January 22 to January 24, 2018.
Over 17.70 lakh students had appeared this year for the Class 10 examinations held in March across 1,426 centres in the state. In 2017, the Bihar Board result pass percentage was at 50.12.
To felicitate Class 10 toppers, the Bihar Board has introduced a stipend of INR 1,200.
Ahead of Bihar Board Board Class 10 Matric examination, the board had released a precautionary measure that prevents students from entering the examination halls with shoes and socks.
According to reports, a total of 448 students were barred from the exam for malpractices and 93 examinees were caught for writing papers for other.
