The West Bengal Board of Secondary Education (WBBSE) on Wednesday announced the West Bengal Madhyamik (Class 10 board) result 2018 on its official website wbresults.nic.in. Over 8 lakh students have passed the exam.
Other than the website, the results are also available through SMS. Apart from SMS and website option, the results are also available through Mobile application. Students can download ‘Madhyamik Results 2018’ mobile app from google play store and check their results. The link to download the app is also available on westbengalonline.in.
East Midnapore district topped among other districts by securing a pass percentage of 96.13 per cent followed by West Midnapore and Kolkata.
According to the WBBSE, a total of 11,02,921 students had appeared for the WBBSE examinations of which the number of girl students was higher than the boy students. For the second year in a row, more girls have appeared for the Class 10 board examination than boys. The number of girls who appeared for Class 10 board examination was 6,21,366 which is 56 percent of the total students who took part in the examination while the number of boys who have appeared for the examination was 4,81,555.
Cooch BeharтАЩs Sanjivini Debnath has topped the Madhyamik exam this year by scoring 689 marks, while the second position is grabbed by Shirshendu Saha who scored 688 marks. The third rank is shared by Mayurakshi Saha, Nilabja Das, and Mrinmoy Mondal — all scoring 687 marks.
The overall pass percentage this year is 85.49 per cent and a total of 56 students are on the top 10 list. This year the WBBSE conducted the exam from 12 March to 21 March 2018.

- Click on the result link.
- Enter the required details.
- Click on Submit and view your result.
Students need to be careful by keeping their roll number secure while checking the results. After checking the result, it is better for them to take a print out of the result. In exceptional situations, if they come across any issue with their West Bengal Madhyamik Result 2018, then they can apply for rechecking. They can apply for rechecking within a month after the declaration of result. The request of rechecking will start after the completion of the process of application fees.
In 2017, the West Bengal Madhyamik results were announced on May 27. The pass percentage of students in West Bengal Madhyamik exam in 2017 was 85.05 per cent.
