RBSE Class 12 Exam 2027 – Two Board Exams Update
In November 2025, Rajasthan Education Minister Madan Dilawar announced that RBSE would hold board exams twice a year from the 2026-27 session. Under the announced plan:
1. The first exam, proposed for February–March, is compulsory for all students.
In March 2026, RBSE Secretary Gajendra Singh Rathore said the proposal to hold board exams twice a year from 2027 had been sent to the state government for approval.
The board has not yet issued a final notification with the dates and rules for the second exam. We will update this section once the official circular is released.
RBSE Class 12 Exam 2027 – Eligibility Criteria
1. Candidates must have successfully passed their Class 11 examination from the Board of Secondary Education, Rajasthan (RBSE) or any other recognised state/national education board in India. Direct admission into Class 12 without passing Class 11 is not permitted.
2. Regular candidates must be actively enrolled in Class 12 at an RBSE-affiliated institution for the 2026–2027 academic session.
4. There is no specific minimum or maximum upper age limit set by the RBSE to appear for the Class 12 board examinations.
5. Students must select a valid stream (Science, Commerce, or Arts) and choose subject combinations that align with the subjects they studied and cleared in Class 11.
6. Self-study or private candidates are eligible to apply directly provided they have completed Class 11 from a recognised board, submit their migration/transfer certificates, and meet the board’s registration guidelines.
RBSE Class 12 Exam 2027 – Application Process
The application route depends on whether a student is enrolled in a school or appearing as a private candidate.
Regular Students
Schools handle the entire application process.
1. Students give their personal and academic details to the school office.
2. They submit the required documents as instructed by the school.
3. The school completes the registration with the board.
Check your name, parents’ names, date of birth, and subjects carefully before the school submits your form. These details will appear on your admit card and marksheet.
Private Candidates
Private candidates must fill in the RBSE Class 12 application form 2027 themselves.
1. Fill in your name, date of birth, gender, address, medium, previous academic details, vocational subject, and third language choice.
2. Attach the required documents and certificates.
3. Submit the form to the specified authority before the deadline.

Each paper carries 100 marks, split between theory and practical or internal assessment. Each paper lasts 3 hours and 15 minutes.

RBSE Class 12 Passing Criteria 2027
Students must score at least 33% in each subject and in aggregate to pass. In practical-based subjects, the final score includes both theory and practical marks.
Students who don’t meet the passing criteria can currently appear for the supplementary exam. If the two-exam system is confirmed for 2027, the second board exam may replace the supplementary exam. We will update this section once the board confirms the rules.
RBSE Class 12 Admit Card 2027
The theory exam admit card is expected in February 2027, and the practical exam admit card for private candidates in January 2027.
- Regular students: Schools download the admit cards from the RBSE portal and hand them over to students.

The RBSE Class 12 Result 2027 is expected in March 2027. In 2026, the result was declared on March 31, with an overall pass percentage of 96.30%: 97.52% in Science, 97.54% in Arts, and 93.64% in Commerce.
