Kerala SSLC Exam Dates 2027: Latest Updateย
This is the biggest change for the 2027 batch. In 2024, the previous LDF government announced a “subject minimum” rule. Under it, Class 10 students from 2026-27 would have had to score at least 30% in the written exam of every subject to pass, without counting internal marks.
In September 2026, the UDF government decided not to bring in this rule for SSLC this academic year. The concern was that it would be hard to implement and could sharply reduce the SSLC pass percentage, which has stayed above 99% for years.
So for the Kerala SSLC board exam 2027, the existing system continues: a student needs a D+ grade (30%) in each subject, counting both continuous evaluation (CE) and the written exam. Some websites still show the old subject minimum rule, so do not rely on them.

How to Plan Your Preparation Now for Kerala SSLC 2027
With the exams around five months away, here is a simple way to use the time.
1. October to December: finish the syllabus. Keep the last week of each month for revising what you studied.
2. January: prepare well for the IT model and IT practical exams. IT is a full subject, and its practical marks count towards your total.
3. February: treat the model exam like the real one. Note your weak chapters and fix them in the last two weeks.
4. Every week: solve at least one previous year question paper in exam time. This helps you finish 100-mark papers within the time.
5. Do not ignore CE: your continuous evaluation marks are part of every subject’s total, so submit assignments and projects on time.
