“I concentrated on wealth creation. I equally focused on welfare and development. There should be no negligence in welfare programs, public satisfaction is important. We took measures that people can resolve their problems from their place only by using technology,” the chief minister said while launching the program.
The SAMS is an e-Pragati compliant programme that integrates e-admission and e-administration to include all stages of a student lifecycle. The system also includes automatic registration for biometric, facial attendance, student profiles and real-time data about eligibility for scholarships, free books.
While reviewing the development in the education sector in the state, the chief minister suggested that industry leaders should be involved as guest lecturers in schools and colleges.
Compiled by the National Achievement Survey, the chief minister also released the Andhra Pradesh State Learning Report during the conference.
Presenting the developments of the education department, Sandhya Rani, Commissioner of School Education, urged the collectors to take steps for the development of education sector in the state.
She also talked about Vidya Vikaasam, a comprehensive Strategy and Action Plan to accelerate and improve learning outcomes of students through remedial programmes, teacher training, academic monitoring, assessments, and technology integration in classrooms.
District collectors were asked to set up a task force to review and close down unrecognised schools and regulate and monitor private schools in the state.
During the conference, one official ‘NCBN’ (Nara Chandrababu Naidu) App was also launched to implement effective governance in the state.
“Already the state has been effectively implementing Real-Time Governance to deliver transparent governance and to resolve public grievances in no time. Today, the government has unveiled another innovative initiative in e-governance – NCBN App,” an official statement said.
