Top scholarships for Class 10 students of Maharashtra

The Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (MSBSHSE) on June 8 announced the Maharashtra SSC Result 2018.

After the announcement of the results, students are thinking of getting admission to colleges for further studies. While some of them may opt Science, some may prefer Commerce for further studies. Some students are looking forward to opting for Humanities.

Since the options for further studies are many, but finances to fund them are limited, here, we have prepared a selective list of top scholarships for Class 10 passed students of Maharashtra state board:

Open Merit Scholarships in Junior College, Maharashtra

Introduced by the School Education Department, Government of Maharashtra, the scholarship aims at motivating the meritorious students for further higher education. The students who have received 60% marks in the SSC examination and are studying in class 11 and 12 will receive a scholarship of INR 50 per month for 10 months.

Open Merit Scholarships for EBC Students, Maharashtra

This is yet another scholarship for meritorious students of Maharashtra state board belonging to economically backward class. The scholarship offers up to INR 160 per month for ten months to students who have scored at least 50% marks in their class 10 exam (in single attempt) and have family income less than INR 30,000 from all sources.

Government of India Post-Matric Scholarship, Maharashtra

An initiative of Department of Social Justice and Special Assistance, Government of Maharashtra, this scholarship is for students of class 11 to postgraduation belonging to backward classes (SC, OBC, SBC, VJNT and Nav Buddha). The students who have passed class 10 can apply for the scholarship and stand a chance to win up to INR 1200 per month.

Rajarshi Chhatrapati Shahu Maharaj Merit Scholarship, Maharashtra

To create competitive spirit among the students belonging to special backward classes, the Government of Maharashtra has announced this scholarship. The students, belonging to SBC and VJNT category, who have secured 75% and above marks in their class 10 exam and are studying in class 11 and 12 can stand a chance to win INR 3000 per annum.

Government Vidyaniketan Scholarship, Maharashtra

Have you completed your class 10 from Government Vidyaniketan? If yes, then this is certainly the right scholarship opportunity for you. The scholarship tends to offer INR 1000 per annum to students who have scored at least 60% marks in their class 10 board examination.

Vasantrao Naik Merit Awards to the VJNT students, Maharashtra

The students, both boys and girls, who stood first in the state board examination of class 10 and 12 will receive variable awards under this scheme. This scholarship is only applicable for students belonging to VJNT category.
