A career in mass communication and media studies means fast-paced life with constant need to keep yourself updated with latest news, policies, trends, technologies and many more. The field of Mass Communication offers a wide range of specialisation and distinct career paths such as TV and Radio Journalism, Print Journalism, Advertising and Public Relations and Corporate Communication.

Indian Institute of Mass Communication (IIMC)

Established in 1965, this government institution aims at providing media education and research of global standards to create leaders and innovators in the field of Mass Communication and Media. The institute offers several postgraduate diploma courses to students in its six centres across the country through a rigorous entrance examination.

AJ Kidwai Mass Communication Research Centre (AJKMCRC)

A premier J-School, AJK Mass Communication Research Centre, Jamia Millia Islamia was founded in 1982. It is one the most promising institutions to offer Masters, postgraduate diploma and PhD courses in art, craft and technology of the modern media.

Xavier Institute of Communication (XIC)

Initiated in 1969, the XIC Mumbai is an autonomous educational unit which provides learning and training to those who wish to pursue media education. The institute provides various diploma and certificate courses in media studies for students to opt.

Asian College of Journalism (ACJ)

Established with the aim to raise the standards of journalism in terms of ethical and professional credibility, the Asian college of Journalism offers specialisation in print, new media, television and radio journalism.

Symbiosis Centre for Media and Communication (SCMC)

Mudra Institute of Communication, Ahmedabad (MICA)

Founded in 1991, the MICA is a premier institution in the field of communication. With a wide-range of programmes such as Post Graduate Diploma in Management-Communications, Crafting Creative Communication and Fellow Programme in Management-Communication on offer for students, MICA creates leaders for Communication stream.
