A total of 5,37,260 students had appeared for the exam this year, out of which 2,14,411 got the first division; 2,25,291 students scored second division, while 24,864 received the third division.
The RBSE Class 12 exams were conducted by the board from March 8 to April 2. The results for Class 12 Science and Commerce streams were released on May 23, 2018.
Government schools in the state have scored better than private schools. While the pass percentage for government schools is 90.53 per cent, the private schools stand at 89.05 per cent.
“This shows that students of government schools have worked hard and our drive of parent-teacher interaction in government schools has paid the dividends,” state education minister Vasudev Devnani was quoted as saying by a news agency.

Girls have outperformed boys in the exam again with the total pass percentage at 88.92 per cent. The pass percentage for girls is 91.46 per cent, while for boys it is 86.67 per cent.
Out of 826,278 students who appeared for the Class 12 RBSE 2018 exams, about 42,665 students were for Commerce, 246,254 for Science and 537,359 students were for Arts stream.
The Class 12 exams were held at 5,507 centres across the state with the board identifying 415 centres as sensitive. Elaborate security arrangements were made at these sensitive centres to prevent students from malpractice. CCTV cameras were also installed in these centres.
Last year, 91.35 per cent girls passed the RBSE Class 12 exams in Arts stream, while, 87.04 per cent boys had passed. In the Science and Commerce streams also, with a pass percentage of 93.4 and 95.5 respectively, girls outperformed boys. The pass percentage for boys was 90.03 and 89.45 respectively.
