IGIDR Post-Doctoral Fellowship 2026 – Eligibility Criteria
1. The applicant must be a resident Indian, under 40 years of age.
2. The applicant must hold a PhD degree in the broad areas of economics, public policy, and/or energy and environment policy.
3. The applicant must have secured a minimum of 55% aggregate marks, or equivalent, in their Master’s degree.
4. Candidates who have submitted their PhD thesis by July 31, 2026, even if the degree has not yet been formally conferred, are also eligible to apply.
5. Candidates who completed their PhD in the last two years, and/or are employed as junior faculty in academic institutions, and/or have a strong publication record, are particularly encouraged to apply.
6. Junior faculty applicants must route their application through the proper channel via their parent institution, and must submit a No Objection Certificate (NOC) at the time of the interview.

IGIDR Post-Doctoral Fellowship 2026 – Stipend and Benefits
Selected Post-Doctoral Fellows receive the following support during their tenure at IGIDR:
1. A consolidated fellowship amount of ₹70,000 per month.
2. Campus accommodation, provided on a sharing basis, subject to availability.
3. Office space, along with full access to the library, computing and other facilities of the Institute.

How to Apply for the IGIDR Post-Doctoral Fellowship 2026
Applications are accepted online only, through the Google Form link provided on the official IGIDR website:
Step 1 – Visit the official application link for the IGIDR Post-Doctoral Fellowship 2026.
Step 2 – Fill in the requested personal, academic and research details in the online form.

IGIDR Post-Doctoral Fellowship 2026 – Selection and Responsibilities
1. Candidates are selected based on an evaluation of their application, proposal and other submitted documents, followed by an interview conducted at IGIDR.
2. Final admission to the programme is subject to approval from the candidate’s parent institution, where applicable.
3. Selected fellows are expected to pursue their research plan independently and must produce at least one working paper before the end of their one-year tenure.
4. Fellows are required to present an interim progress report and seminar, as well as a final seminar on the work completed, before the end of their tenure at IGIDR.
5. Fellows may also be called upon to participate in Institute activities, including teaching, research projects, conferences and workshops.
6. The position is a full-time, fixed-term post and is not connected in any way to entry-level faculty positions at IGIDR.
