What is AIMST?
AIMST is All India Meritorious Scholarship Test, which is a competitive examination for students of Class 11, Class 12 and Class 12 [2017 pass-outs] to get scholarships.
AIMST score, clubbed with other parameters, will be considered to be the basis for awarding need and merit based scholarship to 124 students.
What are the benefits of AIMST?
AIMST provides opportunities for school students to avail scholarships and claim their right to quality education. Under the AIMST umbrella, there are two categories of scholarships:
Category 1- Merit based scholarship
62 meritorious students will receive scholarships to felicitate the academic excellence. Selection will be based on the students’ AIMST score, board score and personal interview.
Category 2- Need cum Merit based scholarship
62 students, coming from weaker financial background and overall meritorious record, will receive scholarships to continue their education. Selection will be based on the cumulative family income, AIMST score, board score and personal interview.
Scholarship award details:
-Top 4 performers [2 from each category] will receive a scholarship worth INR 25,000 each
-Next 40 performers [20 from each category] will receive a scholarship worth INR 10,000 each
– Next 80 performers [40 from each category] will receive a scholarship worth INR 5,000 each
-Top 1000 students, with 80 Percentile and above, will receive certificates for participation.
