Telangana govt reopens e-pass website for students to register for scholarships

In an effort to give the education sector in the state a big boost, the Telangana government on January 10, 2017 decided to reopen the e-pass website for registration of colleges and students to apply for fresh and renewal of scholarships for a further period from January 11 to February 10.

Scholarship Registration and Login

The state government has also issued order for registration of colleges and students in e-pass system with the objective to collect data of colleges and students for sanction of scholarships.

“The last date will not be extended further in any circumstances. The colleges and students who have not registered for scholarships will not be granted further time at a later date. Therefore, they are reminded that, they must complete the registration process by February 10, 2018,” Secretary to Govt (SC Development -Edn Dept) Dr Buddha Prakash Jyothi was quoted as saying by a news agency.

According to reports, all the welfare departments of the state have also been advised to give the registration process a wide publicity so that it can be completed on due date.

All the students who want to apply for new scholarships or willing to renew their scholarships should visit the e-pass website at epass.cgg.gov.in and upload their details.

The e-pass website is designed by the state government for online registration of colleges and students for sanction and renewal of scholarships.

The e-pass system integrates activities of multiple welfare departments, treasury, college databases, Secondary School Certificate (SSC) database and banks to facilitate disbursement of scholarships to around 28 lakh post‐matric students across 13,600 colleges in the state.

The prime objective of e-pass system is to put students at the centre of operations and expedite the scholarship process to ensure timely and correct payments.
