E-Grantz Portal – Eligibility Criteria
All the schemes available on the E-Grantz portal have a pre-defined set of eligibility conditions that all the applicants need to fulfil to apply for them. Listed below are detailed eligibility conditions for the scholarships available on E-Grantz. Depending on these the candidates can apply for the scholarships.
- The applicants must be domiciled in Kerala.
- The candidates must belong to one of the following categories –
- Socially Backward Communities (SBC)
- Economically Backward Communities (EBC)
- Other Backward Classe (OBC)
- Scheduled Caste (SC)
- Other Eligible Communities (OEC)
- The students must have taken admission under the merit and reservation quota.
- The candidates must possess 75% attendance in their classes every month.
- The applicants must fulfil the following income criteria:
- For students belonging to SC and OECs, there is no income limitation.
- For students belonging to OBC category,the income limit is INR 1,00,000 per annum for +2 courses, degree, PG and professional courses.
- For students belonging to other categories,the income limit is INR 1,00,000 for +2 course, degree, PG and professional courses.
E-Grantz Portal – Documents Required
Before applying for the scholarship, the applicants must be ready with the following documents –

- Marsksheet of last qualifying examination
E-Grantz Portal – Benefits
The candidates will receive the benefits of the scholarship based on the current academic qualifications and the category to which they belong. Brief detail about the scholarship awards is mentioned hereunder –
For Scheduled Castes (SC) and Other Eligible Communities (OEC) category students:
- Students residing below 8 kms from residence – INR 630
- Students residing above 8 kms – INR 750
- Students undergoing professional courses and residing at their own place due or lack of hostel facility – INR 1,500
For Other Backward Category (OBC) students:
- Students undergoing +2 courses – INR 160
- Students undergoing PG and Professional courses:
- Day scholars – INR 200
- Hostellers – INR 250
- Polytechnic course:
- Day scholars – INR 100
- Hostellers – INR 150
Note – Students undergoing PG, professional and polytechnic courses will receive the same amount as given to SEBC category students.
E-Grantz Portal – Application Process
Applying for the Kerala scholarships through E-Grantz portal is easy. The applicant can apply for any scheme on the portal by following the steps hereunder. Also, if an applicant is unable to fill out the application online and study at an institution listed on the portal, the candidate can submit their application through the institution.
Step 1: One-time Registration
- Visit the E-Grantz 3.0 portal.
- Click on ‘Apply for Onetime Registration’ on the top of the dashboard.
- Click on the ‘One-Time Registration’ button given at the bottom.
- Provide the student’s Aadhaar number and name (as on Aadhaar card).
- Click on ‘Validate Aadhaar’.
- Fill in further required details such as mobile number, birth date, email id and password.
- Click on ‘Register’.
Step 2: Student Login
- After the successful registration, the students must log in to the user dashboard using the registered email id and password.
Step 3: Complete the Profile
- After successful login, the students are required to complete their profiles.
- Fill in all required details mentioned in the five sections namely, basic details, other details, bank details, upload details and institution details.
Step 4: Apply for scholarship
- After completing the profile, the students are required to click on ‘Apply for Scholarships – Post-Matric’.
- A list of scholarships for which the students are eligible to apply will appear.
- The applicants are required to select the scholarship they want to apply for and start the application.
- Fill in all required details and upload all supporting documents.
- Finally, submit the application form.
E-Grantz Portal – Application Status Check
The candidates can check their real-time application status online on the E-Grant portal using the listed below steps –
Step 1: Visit the E-Grantz 3.0 portal.
Step 2: Navigate to the ‘Application Status’ on the right side of the dashboard.
Step 3: Enter the required details such as District, Institution, SSLCType, SSLC number, SSLC Number and date of birth.
Step 4: Click on ‘Search’.
Step 5: The details of the scholarship applications will appear on the screen containing information like application number, scheme name, student’s name, application location, date of application received, application status and remarks.

The candidates can check their stipend status online on the E-Grant portal using the listed below steps –
