Fogarty HIV-associated Tuberculosis Training Program at the University of Cape Town invites applications for University of Cape Town Postdoctoral Fellowship in Epidemiology of HIV-associated Tuberculosis 2020 from PhD researchers. This fellowship aims to support the research in the epidemiology of HIV-associated Tuberculosis. Selected fellows will receive ZAR 399,000 per annum.
University of Cape Town Postdoctoral Fellowship in Epidemiology of HIV-associated Tuberculosis 2020
DeadlineClosed Eligibility To be eligible, an applicant must:
- Have obtained their PhD degree within 5 years and have not held any permanent academic or professional posts
- Have held PhD in epidemiology, biostatistics, or a related discipline with substantial quantitative training (or an MBChB with Masters-level training in epidemiology or biostatistics)
- Have evidence of strong quantitative skills
- Have expertise with data management and analysis packages, such as Stata or R
Benefits The selected fellows will receive ZAR 399,000 per annum.

- A copy of academic transcripts

Terms and Conditions
- This is an academic training position and the candidate’s role will be to undertake postdoctoral research at UCT.
- The fellowship will be granted without fringe benefits.
- No services will be required of the candidate in return for the fellowship.
- Recipients will have to publish results in international peer-reviewed scientific journals and through conference presentation.
- The successful candidate will be expected to participate in all required training requirements of the Fogarty Program in terms of human subjects protection and responsible conduct of research, and attend symposia and meetings of the Fogarty Program at UCT.
