Sheffield Hallam University invites applications for Sheffield Business School PhD Scholarships 2020 from PhD applicants. This scholarship aims to provide a brilliant opportunity to research students to develop their research skills and knowledge. Selected scholars will receive an annual stipend of GBP 15,009 plus Home/EU tuition fees of GBP 4,330.

    Eligibility

    To be eligible, an applicant must:

    • Be a prospective PhD student to undertake research that contributes to themes like 'The Experience Economy' and 'Social and Cooperative Economy'
    • Be proficient in the English language
    • Be seeking admission in a full-time PhD study in one of the following departments -
      • Service Sector Management (SSM)
      • Finance, Accounting and Business Systems (FABS)
      • Management

    The selected scholars will receive an annual stipend of GBP 15,009 plus Home/EU tuition fees of GBP 4,330. 

    Documents
    • A detailed research proposal
    • A transcript of marks from highest qualification (dissertation mark of 60 or higher)
    • A copy of award certificate from highest qualification

Selection Criteria

Selection will be based on a document submitted and interview performance of the applicants. The successful applicants will be required to attend an interview where they will be asked to discuss their research proposal on the basis of which the final decision will be made.

  • All submitted research proposals will be uploaded to Turnitin to assess their originality.
  • This scholarship funding is for 3 years of full-time PhD study.
  • For international students, a top-up tuition fee of approximately GBP 8,200 per year is required.
  • Interview dates are provisionally scheduled for week commencing 20th April 2020.
  • Interview panel members will include the PhD Programme Leader, a prospective Director of Studies and a representative from the SBS Creating Knowledge Board.
