Minority Girls Scholarship, Assam 2023-24 is an opportunity offered by the Directorate of Secondary Education, Government of Assam to the girl students of the state belonging to minority communities studying in Class 10-12. The selected candidates will receive annual financial assistance of up to INR 4,000.

DeadlineClosed Eligibility To be eligible, an applicant must:
- be a girl student
- belong to the minority communities of Assam
- be studying in Class 10 to 12 in government, privatized, government-recognized or non-privatized school/college for the academic year 2023-24
Note - Only two unmarried girl children of the same parents can apply for this scholarship.
Benefits The selected candidates will receive the financial assistance in the following manner:
Category Amount (annually) Class 10 INR 2,000 Class 11 and 12 INR 4,000 Documents - Aadhaar card (mandatory)
- Passport size photograph
- Caste certificate
- Passing certificate of the last examination
- Bank passbook (Note: It should be the student's own passbook and not her parents'. A student's name must be mentioned in the passbook)
How can you apply? The institutions can apply for the scholarship on behalf of the eligible candidates by following the below-mentioned steps -
Step 1: Click on the 'Apply Now' button.
Step 2: Click on the 'Register' button and fill in the required details (Note - If already registered, log in using Gmail/Mobile number/Email ID)
Step 3: Click on the ‘Register Here’ button on the left-hand side of the dashboard (Note - If already registered, use valid credentials to login)
Step 4: Enter the required details and click on the ‘Submit’ button to 'Register'.
Step 5: Fill in the required details of students and click on the ‘Submit’ button.
Important Dates
Application Start Date - 10th August 2023
Application End Date - 30th September 2023
Selection Criteria
The candidates will be selected based on the fulfilment of the eligibility criteria.
Important documents
Terms and Conditions
- Eligible candidates are not required to submit separate applications.
- The Head of the Institution (HoI) must ascertain the eligibility of the candidates before filling up of application forms.
- The Head of the Institution (HoI) shall collect the original bank passbook and Aadhaar Card of the eligible girl students for the scheme.
- The Department will not take responsibility for disbursing the scholarship money to any candidate with incorrect bank details.
- The Head of the Institution (HOI) shall register the institution in the portal using the institution's UDISE Code, mobile number, and email ID in the name of the Head of the Institution (HoI).
