The Department of Science and Technology (DST), Government of India in partnership with National Research, Development and Innovation Office (NRDIO) of Hungary invites proposals from researchers and scientists of India and Hungary for Indo-Hungarian Joint Research Program 2017. It aims to bring together researchers from the institutions of both countries in scientific and technological areas of strategic relevance.

DeadlineClosed Eligibility To be eligible for the grant, an applicant must -
- Be a scientist or researcher.
- Jointly apply for the grant (One proposal should have both, an Indian and one Hungarian scientist).
How can you apply? Eligible Indian candidates can apply for the grant through following steps -
Step 1: Download the application form from here.
Step 2: Fill in all the required details in English.
Step 3: Get it signed by the Indian as well as Hungarian principal investigators.
Step 4: Send the original and 3 copies of application form along with its electronic copy (in single MS word or pdf file) to -

Research Duration
The maximum duration of this joint research program is 36 months.

Award Details
- The applicants need to provide a detailed budget related to their activities of project research.
- The budget should comprise -
- Travel expenses
- Living cost
- Consumables required
- Manpower/Labour hiring cost.
- Depending on due justification, the selected applicants will receive -
- Overseas medical insurance
- International travel expenses
- Local transportation
- Accommodation and living cost
- The Indian scientists who visit Hungary will receive HUF 30,000 per day (including accommodation).
- The Hungarian scientists who visit India will receive INR 2,500 per day and reasonably furnished separate accommodation in Guest Houses.
