The Department of Mechanical and Industrial Engineering, Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Roorkee is inviting applications for Research Associateship and Junior Research Fellowship 2020 from ME/MTech degree holders. The candidates are expected to work on the project titled, " Microstructure based three-dimensional elastoplastic fatigue crack growth simulations using XFEM". The selected fellows will receive a fellowship of INR 35,000 per month including HRA.

DeadlineClosed Eligibility To be eligible, an applicant must-
- Be a resident of India
- Hold an ME/MTech degree in Mechanical Engineering/ Applied Mechanics/Aerospace Engineering or equivalent
- Be GATE qualified
Benefits The selected fellows will receive a fellowship of INR 35,000 per month including HRA.

Selection Criteria
The selection of the candidates will be made based on the applicant's performance in the interview. Preference will be given to SC/ST candidates on equal qualification and experience.

- No TA/DA will be admissible for attending the interview.
- Selected candidate may get an opportunity to pursue a PhD at IIT Roorkee.
- The duration of the project is 18 months.
