IIT Jammu RISE-UP Program 2023 is an opportunity offered by the Indian Institute of Technology, Jammu to pre-final year graduate/undergraduate non-IIT Jammu students. This program nurtures and promotes an undergraduate research culture at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Jammu. It is designed to give students an opportunity to closely work with the IIT Jammu faculty members and gain valuable research experience. The selected candidates will receive a weekly stipend of INR 2,500.

- be a pre-final year graduate/undergraduate non-IIT Jammu student
Qualification Duration Eligible Period B.Tech/B.E. degree 4 years End of 3rd year M.Sc/M.Tech. degree 2 years End of 1st year Note - Preference will be given to the students who have good programming/technical skills and are willing to solve real-world challenges.
Benefits The selected students will receive a weekly stipend of INR 2,500 during the course of the internship. However, the stipend for faculty-funded projects may vary.
Note - Hostel accommodation will be provided to all the summer interns and students are required to pay the applicable hostel charges.

- Bonafide Certificate from Head of Department (HoD)/ \Head of the institution
- Declaration letter by the parents and other related documents/certificates which will justify the potential of the student (Note - The sample from the HoD/department and parent’s authorization letter can be found on our website)
How can you apply? Eligible candidates can apply for the opportunity by following the steps mentioned below -
Step 1: Click on the 'Apply Now' button.
Step 2: Click the 'Register' button and fill in the required registration details. (Note - If already registered, log in using Gmail/Mobile number/Email Id.)
Step 3: Read the details carefully, navigate to 'Application Portal for Online Applications' and click on it.
Step 4: Now, navigate to 'Create an Account for New Applicant' and click on it.
Step 5: Fill in the required details to 'Register'.
Step 6: After successful registration, fill in the necessary details, upload the documents and submit.

Selection Criteria
The candidates will be selected based on the fulfilment of the eligibility criteria.

Terms and Conditions
- Temporary guest ID will be given to the selected students.
- The internship period is going to be a minimum of six weeks starting from the 22nd May 2023 till the end of July.
- The internship period can be extended up to the eight weeks with the mutual consent of the student and his supervisor at the IIT Jammu.
- Students should select one primary project and one secondary project based on their research interest. The students and their supervisors may change the problem statement with mutual consent.
- Uploading of duplicate and/or wrongly attached documents/late and/or incomplete applications will not be processed.
- No changes can be made to the online application once it has been submitted.
