DRDO-PXE Balasore Junior Research Fellowship 2023 is an opportunity offered by Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO), Ministry of Defence, Government of India to graduate/postgraduate degree holders. The selected fellows will receive a monthly stipend of INR 31,000 plus HRA and medical facilities as per the rules for this 2-year fellowship program.

DeadlineClosed Eligibility To be eligible, an applicant must -
- be below 28 years of age (Note - Relaxation of 3 years for OBC and 5 years for SC/ST candidates has been made)
- hold a graduate degree in a professional course (B.E./B.Tech. degree) in Mechanical Engineering in first division with GATE qualification, OR
- hold a postgraduate degree in a professional course (M.E./M.Tech. degree) in Mechanical degree in first division both at graduate and postgraduate level
Benefits The selected fellow will receive a monthly stipend of INR 31,000 plus HRA and medical facilities as per the government rules.
Note - No TA/DA will be admissible to candidates for appearing in the Interview/Joining PXE.
Documents - All educational qualification certificates/marksheets in originals semester wise
- Valid NET/GATE scorecard
- Caste certificate (if applicable) of the recent date issued by the Competent Authority
- NOC from the respective organisation if employed in Govt. Dept./PSUs/Autonomous bodies
- Disability Certificate (if applicable)
- Photo ID Card issued by Govt authorities/Aadhaar Card etc.
- Three recent passport-size photographs
How can you apply? Eligible candidates can apply for the opportunity by following the below-mentioned steps:
Step 1: Click on the 'Apply Now' button.
Step 2: Click the 'Register' button and fill in the required registration details. (Note - If already registered, log in using Gmail/Mobile number/Email Id)
Step 3: Download the application form.
Step 4: Send the completely filled-up application form in the prescribed format with all relevant documents through email at - admin@pxe.drdo.in.Note - The applicants are required to produce a copy of the duly filled application along with the original and copy of all the required documents at the time of joining.

Selection Criteria
The selection will be based on the performance of the candidate in the interview.

Terms and Conditions
- Incomplete applications will be rejected during the screening for eligibility.
- The offer of the fellowship does not provide the right to absorption in DRDO to the fellows.
- Before attending the interview through video conference, the candidates are required to send an application with a recent passport-size photograph affixed on the top right corner of the application and duly self-attested copies of all degrees/academic qualification certificates, mark sheets etc through an email ID.
- Age relaxation is allowed for up to 5 years for SC/ST and 3 years for OBC candidates only. Those who belong to SC/ST/OBC are required to produce the original caste certificate issued by the Competent Authority at the time of joining.
- A copy of the application form should also be brought duly filled & copies of certificates/ degrees on the date of joining.
- The period of this Research Fellow is two years. JRFs will have no claim to a permanent or temporary appointment on completion of a fellowship in PXE/DRDO.
- The Competent Authority reserves the right to amend/refix/cancel/suspend the selection procedure at any time during the process without assigning any reason thereof.
- Online interviews through video conferencing will be conducted depending on the number of candidates and requirements.
- The establishment has all the rights to cancel the admission process/selection at any time with any further discussion.
- Candidates presently employed in the government department/PSUs/Autonomous bodies will be required to produce NOC at the time of joining.
