CIF Youth Fellowship 2023 is an opportunity offered by the Climate Investment Funds (CIF)* in partnership with Multilateral Development Bank (MDB)** to Indian candidates aged between 18-28 years. The fellowship provides young climate leaders with the opportunity to work with projects co-financed by the CIF in their country of residence. The one-year fellowship allows candidates to work with CIF's frontier climate finance and partner MDBs on climate action programs in various areas like nature-based solutions, clean energy, adaptation and resilience, climate finance, and gender and social inclusion.
Selected candidates will receive a stipend to cover the cost of living in fellowship countries and other benefits for the duration of the fellowship.
The Climate Investment Funds (CIF)* is a unique professional capacity-building program focused on providing hands-on experience to the next generation of young leaders.
Multilateral Development Banks (MDBs)** are international financial institutions that provide financial and technical assistance to developing countries.

DeadlineClosed Eligibility To be eligible, an applicant must -
- be an Indian citizen
- be in the age group of 18-28 years during the time of application
- hold an undergraduate or graduate degree in Engineering/Economics/Finance/Public Policy/Environmental Science or other related subjects
- be fluent and have good writing skills in English and the native language
- be proficient in basic computer programs
- have strong analytical and conceptual skills and the ability to interpret and present technical/research information
- be available for 16 hours (part-time)/40 hours (full-time) a week
Benefits Selected candidates will receive the following benefits -
- Stipend covering the cost of living in India and other fellowship countries (Purchasing Power Parity).
- In-kind logistical support such as staff time for mentoring and office space.
- Specialized training and professional development sessions
