Ministry of Railways invites applications for Railway Minister’s English Essay Competition 2016-2017. Competition is open to all current employees of Indian railways, who has put in at least 3 months of service. The essay has be submitted in English only in double spaces and should be falling under 2000 words. The railway units are required to invite essays from the staff and best 10% of them will be sent to Board's office. One should submit one essay on any one of the given topics: 1. Role of social media in improvement of Railways, working and benefits to passengers. 2. Digital Indian & Indian Railways. 3. Swachh Bharat & Swachh Rail.
The prizes will be distributed on annual railway award function.

How can you apply? The essay has to be submitted at one's respective railway unit.

Terms and Conditions
There are 2 categories under which essay has to be written: Gazetted and Non-Gazetted. Each category winner prize will be awarded with Rs. 6,000 each and runner up will be given Rs. 4000.
