Description

National Board for Higher Mathematics (NBHM), Department of Atomic Energy invites applications to pursue Ph.D in Mathematics for the academic year 2017-18. The applicants must be mathematically motivated; having a post graduate degree in mathematics or a four-year course. Final year students can also apply. Selected scholars will be given a stipend of Rs. 25,000 for two years and extends to Rs. 28,000 per year for the next two years. The contingency grant of Rs. 32,000 will be paid annually.

Eligibility

  • Keen interest in Mathematics.
  • Must be a postgraduate in Maths or Statistics (pure or applied) or four years degree course.
  • Must have a good academic record since class 12.
  • Final year students can also apply.

How to apply?

The application can be done by post with following steps:

Step 1: Take a plain paper.
Step 2: Read the format given in the download form link.
Step 3: Make application according to the given instruction.
Step 4: Also add a recent passport size photo along with the application form.
Step 5: Affix a Rs. 5 postage stamp.
Step 6: Take an envelope.
Step 7: Write in capital letters "NBHM Ph.D Scholarship".
