Merit Scholarship for SC/ST/OBC Students, Delhi 2023-24 is an opportunity offered by the Department for the Welfare of SC/ST/OBC/Minority, Government of NCT of Delhi, to the students pursuing UG/PG degree or diploma courses. This scholarship aims to provide financial assistance to the SC, ST, and OBC category students. The selected students will receive up to ₹24,000 per annum.

DeadlineClosed Eligibility To be eligible, an applicant must:-
- be an Indian citizen
- be a domicile of Delhi
- belong to the Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), and Other Backward Classes (OBC) category
- be studying a UG degree in one of the following subjects in a recognised college or professional/technical institution:
- Medical
- Engineering
- B.Sc. (Agri)
- Veterinary Science
- Forensic Science
- Higher Technical and professional studies
- Bachelor of Ayurveda, Medicine and Surgery (B.A.M.S)
- Comparable course in Ayurvedic, Unani/ Tibbia, and Homeopathy systems of Medicine
- Technical /professional and vocational courses
- hold a PG degree in Science subjects from a recognised college or professional/technical institution
- hold a diploma in one of the following subjects in a recognised college or professional/technical institution:
- Engineering
- Technology
- Architecture
- Printing Technology
- Overseer
- Draftsman Surveyor
- Hotel Management
- Catering
- Applied Nutrition
- Commercial Pilot License
- Wireless & TV Operator
- Sound Recording Engineering
- Photography
- Film Direction
- Acting
- Screenplay Writing
- Indian medicine B.A.M.S
- Comparable course in Ayurvedic
- Unani/Tibbia and Homeopathy System of Medicine
- Bachelor of Ayurveda, Medicine and Surgery (B.A.M.S)
- hold a certificate in one of the following subjects in a recognised college or professional/technical institution:
- Engineering Technology
- Architecture & Medicine
- Agriculture
- Vet Science
- Fisheries
- Dairy
- Public Health
- Sanitary Inspector
- Rural services
- Library Science
- Sub officers course in National Fire Service College, Nagpur
- Teachers training
- Library Science
- Physical Education
- Music/Fine/Arts
- Law
- Craft Instructor
- Passenger Transport Management
- Associate degree in Pharmacy
- Technical/professional and vocational course from government/recognised institute with a course duration of at least one year
- have obtained a minimum of 60% marks in the previous academic year
- have an annual family income less than ₹3,00,000 per annum (Note:- In case of SC/ST category income ceiling is not applicable)
Note:- Applicants who are receiving stipends from institutions or the Government (during the course) are also eligible to apply for this scholarship.
Benefits The selected students will receive the financial assistance in the following manner:
Groups Courses Scholarship (for Hostellers) Scholarship (for Day Scholars) Group A - Degree course in Medical/Engineering/B.Sc. (Agri)/Veterinary Science/Forensic Science/Higher Technical and professional studies
- Degree level course in Indian medicine B.A.M.S & comparable course in Ayurvedic, Unani/Tibbia and Homeopathy system of Medicine
- Degree courses and technical/professional and vocational courses
₹20,000 per annum ₹12,000 per annum Postgraduate courses in the above and other technical and professional courses ₹24,000 per annum ₹15,000 per annum Group B - Diploma-level courses in Indian medicine such as B.A.M.S and equivalent courses in Ayurvedic, Unani/Tibbia, and Homeopathy systems of Medicine
- Diploma-level courses in Engineering Technology, Architecture, Printing Technology, Overseer, Draftsman Surveyor, Hotel Management, Catering, Applied Nutrition, Commercial Pilot License Wireless & TV Operator Sound Recording and Engineering, Photography, Film Direction, Acting, Screenplay Writing
- Postgraduate courses in science subjects
- Diploma level and postgraduate diploma courses in technical/professional and vocational courses (above-mentioned)
₹15,000 per annum ₹9,000 per annum Group C - Certificate courses in Engineering Technology, Architecture, and Medicine; Diploma and Certificate courses in Agri/Veterinary Science/Fisheries/Dairy/Public Health/Sanitary Inspector/Rural services/Library Science/sub-officers course in National Fire Service College Nagpur; Degree/postgraduate diploma and postgraduate courses in teachers training/Library Science/Physical Education/Music/Fine Arts/Law/Craft Instructor/Passenger Transport Management/Associate degree in Pharmacy
- Certificate courses in technical/professional and vocational courses from government/recognised institutes (course duration at least one year)
₹12,000 per annum ₹8,000 per annum Group D General courses up to graduate level studies in Arts, Commerce & other subjects ₹12,000 per annum ₹8,000 per annum General courses in postgraduate and higher-level studies in Arts, Commerce, and other subjects ₹15,000 per annum ₹9,000 per annum Documents - Caste certificate in the name of student or father issued by SDM/Deputy Commissioner (Revenue),
Government of National Capital Territory of Delhi (GNCT) - Marksheet/certificate of the previous academic year
- Income certificate issued by competent authorities (Government of National Capital Territory of Delhi)
- Domicile certificate by the competent authority (Government of NCT of Delhi)
- Gap certificate (in case of gap in studies for up to 3 years)
How can you apply? Follow the steps mentioned below to apply for the scholarship:
Step 1: Click on the 'Apply Now' button.
Step 2: Click on the 'Register' button and fill in the required details to register (Note:- If already registered, log in using Gmail/Mobile number/Email ID).
Step 3: Navigate to the 'Apply Services' and click on the 'Register' button.
Step 4: Select the Aadhaar card, then enter the Aadhaar number and captcha code.
Step 5: Tick the checkbox and click on the 'Continue' button.
Step 6: Now, Login using the credentials (user ID, password, and captch code).
Step 7: Enter the relevant details and select the scholarship scheme.
Step 8: Upload the required documents and click on the 'Submit' button.
