International IGB Fellowship Program in Freshwater Science 2017

Document required-

• Curriculum vitae, including a complete list of publications.
• Certificates of Master degree or equivalent or doctoral degree, respectively.
• A letter of maximum 1 page indicating research interests and experience.
• A proposed research programme at IGB (max. 1 page), that will include potential research host(s) and timeline.
• Two letters of recommendations.

Note-The letters should be uploaded either by the applicant on IGB's application platform or sent by the reference contact directly to Dr. Ina Severin (severin@igb-berlin.de, cc to co@igb-berlin.de).

Important information-

• The IGB offers the fellowship twice a year for 6-24 months.
• Before the submission of application form, the applicant needs to contact the posting host at IGB in order to develop a research programme in accordance with the host group. For this, click here.
• IGB is determined to raise the number of women in science and particularly encourages female scientists to apply.
• A person with disabilities having equal qualifications will be also be favoured.

Award details-

• The amount of fellowship depends upon the level. The two levels are as follows-
  • Postdoctoral level- The fellowship amount for this level will be 1,828 euros per month.
  • Senior scientist level- The fellowship amount for this level will be 2,600 euros per month.
• The fellows will get some funds for consumables and travel allowances too.
   

Note-

• The fellows will neither be granted health insurances nor would there be any contributions to pension schemes.
• For being eligible for the fellowship, the fellows must not have any other source of employment during the fellowship period.
