The Department of Biotechnology, Government of India and Government of Australia under Indo-Australia joint collaboration invite applications from Indian researchers holding Ph.D. degree for Indo-Australian Career Boosting Gold Fellowships (IACBGF) 2017-18. The key objective of the fellowship is to support researchers in undertaking a collaborative research project at University in Australia or a leading institute of science.

DeadlineClosed Eligibility To be eligible for the fellowship, an applicant must -
- Be an Indian researcher.
- Hold a Ph.D. degree and be employed as faculty on contractual or permanent basis. He/She can also be Ramunaja fellow, INSPIRE faculty, IYBA fellow and Ramalingaswami.
- Be employed in an Indian government agency, Government-owned corporation, a statutory body, university, institute or any other research organisation.
- Not be more than 35 years of age.
Note: The candidates who are JRF/SRF/Research Associates/Research Assistants/Post Doctoral Fellows are not eligible to apply for the fellowship.

Award Details
The selected fellows will receive -
- Associateship of INR 1,50,000 per month.
- One time grant in the form of preparatory allowance of INR 20,000.
- Cost of air passage by Air India in economy class for joining the overseas laboratory and returning back.
Important Attachments
- If candidates are applying through the post, they need to enclose one original unbound and a single-sided copy of the application form (that should be clipped, not stapled) along with its five spiral-bound copies.
- If the candidates are applying through email, they need to attach the soft copy of the application form in an MS Word file.
