In order to create awareness about foreign policy issues and generate new ideas from the youth of the country, ICWA announces two Essay Writing Contests: among the school going students(10-12 standard)-Junior Level and undergraduate & postgraduate students Senior Level. The senior level competition is only for students up to MA/Msc level (M.Phil and Phd. students not allowed).
Topics:
- Junior Level (15-18 years) What can India do for the world (1500 words).
- Senior Level (18-25 years) Government’s Neighbourhood First Policy: Is it working? (2500 words).
The entries, neatly typed in double space with font size Times New Roman- 12 should reach ICWA by June 30, 2016. The essay should be accompanied with a certificate from the school/institute/college/university where the participant is currently enrolled establishing his/her bonafides. Those who have completed their degrees and are not currently pursuing any academic project may enclose a copy of their last degree. Only those students whose essays would be shortlisted for further evaluation would be informed by email.

The entries, neatly typed in double space with font size Times New Roman- 12 should reach ICWA by June 30, 2016. The essay should be accompanied with a certificate from the school/institute/college/university where the participant is currently enrolled establishing his/her bonafides. Those who have completed their degrees and are not currently pursuing any academic project may enclose a copy of their last degree. Only those students whose essays would be shortlisted for further evaluation would be informed by email. All personal particulars should be sent in a separate cover page (nothing should be written in the essay indicating the personal particulars viz name, age, contact details or school/college/university of the participant).
1st Prize: Junior Level: Rs 15,000, Senior Level: Rs 25,000
2nd Prize: Junior Level: Rs 10,000, Senior Level: Rs 15,000
3rd Prize: Junior Level: Rs 5,000, Senior Level: Rs 10,000
