Science and Engineering Research Board, Government of India has introduced Extra Mural Research Funding 2017 to support potential scientists for undertaking research in key areas of Science &Technology in Life Sciences, Physical Sciences, Chemical Sciences, Engineering Sciences, Earth & Atmospheric Sciences & Mathematical Sciences.

DeadlineClosed Eligibility - Applicant should be an Indian citizen residing in India.
- The applicant must hold a regular academic/research position in a recognized institution.
- The proposals can be submitted by an individual or by a team of investigators.
How can you apply? Application procedure:
Step 1: To register online click here
Step 2: After log-in, go to Menu - Proposal Submission - Form Submission
Step 3: Select scheme Extra Mural Research Funding (Individual Centric)
Step 4: Click on Start Submission Button
Step 5: If the candidate has CO-PI in their proposal then ensure that all the CO-PI's are also registered into the system following the same procedure
Terms and Conditions
Important information
- Expected output and outcome of the proposal (max 1500 characters), Budget (Manpower,Consumables, Travel, Equipment, Contingency, Overheads ) have to be entered at the time of proposal submission.
- Other relevant information of the proposal has to be uploaded in single PDF file not more than 10 MB as other technical documents (OTD).
Selection & Mode Of Application: The call for proposals will be notified through the website www.serbonline.in and www.serb.gov.in
