EPSRC (Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council) and United Kingdom Research and Innovation (UKRI) invites Outline Proposals for EPSRC-UKRI Innovation Fellowships 2018, from young researchers from around the world who are willing to continue research in engineering and physical sciences. The aim of the fellowship is to support excellent engineering and physical sciences research aligned with the Industry Strategy challenges.

DeadlineClosed Eligibility To be eligible for the fellowship:
- A candidate can be a national of any country.
- An applicant must be an innovative individual in his/her early stage of the research career.
- He/She may hold a PhD degree by the start date of the fellowship or have an equivalent experience.
How can you apply? The eligible candidates can apply for the fellowship with following steps -
Step 1: Click here to create an account.
Step 2: Then, log in using the username and password.
Step 3: Select council 'EPSRC' and document type 'Outline Proposal'.
Step 4: Select scheme 'EPSRC Fellowship'.
Step 5: Again, select 'EPSRC UKRI Innovation Fellowships Outlines' call.
Step 6: Upload the Outline Proposal.
Step 7: Finally, submit the document.Note: EPSRC must receive your application by 16:00 on 09 November 2017.

Award details
Up to £38.9 million is available for this call. EPSRC expects to fund 65-85 Fellows. Additional funding of up to £1.6 million from AHRC, a minimum of £1 million from BBSRC and up to £0.4 million from ESRC will be available for research at specified interfaces.
Selection process
The selection process comprises 3 stages -
Stage 1: Outline Proposal which is considered by a sift panel.
Stage 2: Full Proposal that undergoes postal peer review.
Stage 3: Interview panel stage.
