Directorate General of Trade Remedies (DGTR) Internship Program 2024 is an opportunity offered by the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India to postgraduate students/research scholars. The objective of this program is to equip interested and motivated students with the knowledge and skills necessary to understand and engage in Trade Remedies Investigations and Trade Defence Measures. The selected candidates will receive a certificate of completion.

- be a postgraduate student/research scholar from a recognised university/institution
Benefits The selected interns will receive a certificate of completion.
Documents - A passport-size photograph
- Updated curriculum vitae or CV
- Permission/forwarding letter from the Supervisor or Head of Department of the Institute
How can you apply? Eligible candidates can apply for the internship using the steps listed below:-
Step 1: Click the ‘Apply Now’ button below.
Step 2: Click on the 'Register' button on the right-hand side of the dashboard and fill in the required details to 'Register'. (Note:- If already registered, log in using the registered email ID.)
Step 3: Read the details carefully and download the application form.
Step 4: Fill in the required details, attach the necessary documents and send either by post/email/by hand to reach the General Administration
Section of DGTR.

Application for the internship programme is open throughout the year.
Selection Criteria
The interns will be selected based on the fulfilment of the eligibility criteria. The decision of DGTR regarding the selection/rejection of internship applications will be final.

Terms and Conditions
- The minimum duration of the internship is one month.
- Interns will be required to sign a 'confidentiality' agreement.
- Interns will need to be punctual and abide by the office discipline.
- The interns will be required to present a brief report/paper to the Directorate General of Trade Remedies (DGTR) at the end of their assignment/internship.
- Interns will be assigned a DGTR officer as their mentor. This mentor will design a personalised internship schedule tailored to the intern's interests and skills.
- The final placement within specific divisions or cells will be determined by the competent authority of DGTR, considering the mentor's recommendation and the intern's qualifications.
- DGTR reserves the right to terminate any intern's internship at any time, without providing a reason to the intern or their institution. This policy may be reviewed and amended at any time, including its continuation.
- Internships can be integrated into the course curriculum, potentially extending to a full semester. Alternatively, they can be pursued as voluntary assignments during annual breaks.
