The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) invites applications for CBSE-SHRESTHA Scheme for SC Students 2022-23 from SC students in Class 9 and 11. The scholarship aims at providing residential educational opportunities for meritorious SC students (Both boys and girls). It provides an opportunity for reputed schools for onboarding in the development interventions offering high-quality education to the meritorious student's Scheduled Caste (SC) community. The selected candidates will receive variable awards.

DeadlineClosed Eligibility To be eligible, an applicant must -
- Belong to SC category
- Be studying in Class 9 and 11 in any residential school* (independent) affiliated with CBSE up to Class 12
*Note - The school must be in operation for 5 years or more with 75% or more in classes 10 and 12 in the last 3 years.
Benefits The scholarship cover school fees (including tuition fees etc.) and hostel fees (including mess charges etc.).

- The scheme involves the disbursement of scholarships directly to the admission granting schools.
- There is a tentative number of seats from the year 2022-23 till 2025-26, the obligations on the part of schools for admissions and the provision of Bridge Course etc have all been covered out in the brochure.
