About The Program

The Zonta Amelia Earhart Fellowship 2026 is offered by Zonta International. The fellowship is a prestigious financial award designed to support outstanding women pursuing Ph.D./doctoral degrees in aerospace engineering and space sciences. Selected candidates will receive an award of up to USD 10,000 (approx ₹880324.31) annually.


 

EligibilityDeadline Date: Closed

To be eligible, an applicant must:-

  • be a woman of any nationality
  • be registered in a full-time Ph.D./doctoral program in aerospace engineering or space sciences and have completed at least one year of study OR
  • have received a master’s degree in an aerospace-applied field at the time the application is submitted
  • not graduate from their doctoral program before April 2027


Note:- Post-doctoral research programs are not eligible for the Fellowship.

Benefits

The selected students will receive a fellowship of USD 10,000 (approx ₹880324.31) for study towards tuition fee, books, or living expenses.

Selection Criteria

Candidates will be selected based on superior academic record, research quality in aerospace engineering or space sciences, and potential contribution to the field.

Terms and Conditions
  • Previous Amelia Earhart Fellows are not eligible to apply to renew the Fellowship for a second year. 
  • Applicants must be registered for a full-time Ph.D./doctoral program by 15 November 2025 and must not graduate before April 2027.
