About The Program

Vocational Training Fee Reimbursement for OBC, SEBC, VJNT & SBC Students, Maharashtra 2024-25 is an opportunity offered by the OBC, SEBC, VJNT & SBC Welfare Department, Government of Maharashtra to minority category students of the state. Selected candidates will receive 80% of their course fees.

EligibilityDeadline Date: 31-Mar-2025

To be eligible, an applicant must:

  • be a domicile of Maharashtra
  • belong to the Other Backward Classes (OBC), Socially and Economically Backward Classes (SEBC), Vimukta Jati and Nomadic Tribes (VJNT), or Special Backward Category (SBC) category
  • have been admitted to a Directorate General of Training (DGT), New Delhi, or Manufacturing, Skills and Certification Vocational Training (MSCVT)-approved course
  • have been admitted through the public-private partnership (PPP) scheme in a Government Skill Development or private institute
  • have an annual family income of ₹8,00,000 or less

Note:- Students must not have previously received any benefits from any other institution for the same or a similar course.

Benefits

The selected candidates will receive a scholarship covering 80% of their tuition fees at a private institute. This scholarship is available to both students who passed their SSC exams and those who did not.

How can you apply?

Eligible applicants can apply for the scholarship through the following steps:-
Step 1: Click on the 'Apply Now' button below.
Step 2: Click on the 'Register' button and fill in the required registration details. (Note: If already registered, log in using Gmail/Mobile number/Email ID).
Step 3: Navigate to the 'New Applicant Registration' button at the right-hand side of the dashboard and click on it.
Step 4: Fill in all required details, verify the email and the phone number, enter the captcha and click on the  'Register' button.
Step 5: After successfully registering on the portal, click on the 'Applicant login' button on the right-hand side of the dashboard.
Step 6: Log in using the username and password. 
Step 7: Fill in the necessary details, upload the required documents, and submit.

Selection Criteria

The candidates will be selected based on the fulfilment of the eligibility criteria.

Terms and Conditions
  • The benefit is applicable to only 2 children.
  • The student must be enrolled for the next academic year.
  • Attendance must adhere to DGT criteria.
  • Candidates must attend each semester/annual exam.
  • In case of a medical emergency, a recommendation by the institute's Regional Joint Director is required.
  • Candidates who do not fulfill the attendance criteria will not be eligible for reimbursement.
  • Candidates who belong to the management quota will not receive the benefit of fee reimbursement.
  • Candidates must provide the relevant caste certificate.
  • Candidates should not have taken any benefit from a training program sponsored by the State, Central Government, Department, Local Body, Company, or Corporation.
  • Candidates with non-satisfactory educational progress due to misconduct or failure in the academic year will lead to cancellation of the fee reimbursement.
