VAIBHAV Fellowship 2025 is an initiative started by the Department of Science and Technology (DST), Ministry of Science and Technology, Government of India. The aim of this fellowship is to connect Indian overseas scientists to universities, colleges, and government-funded research places in India and collaborate on ongoing research projects. Selected fellows will receive a fellowship amount of up to ₹4,00,000 per month and other benefits.

Eligible applicants can apply for the scholarship through the following steps:-
Step 1: Click on the 'Apply Now' button.
Step 2: Click the 'Register' button and fill in the required registration details. (Note:- If already registered, log in using Gmail/Mobile number/Email ID)
Step 3: Click on the ‘Apply for Proposal’ on the top right side of the page.
Step 4: Click on the ‘New PI Registration’ tab.
Step 5: Enter the required details and click on the ‘Submit’ button.
Step 6: Log in using the valid credentials.
Step 7: Fill in the necessary details and upload the required documents in the online application form.
Step 8: Now, click on the ‘Submit’ button.

Question: What is the VAIBHAV Fellowship?
Answer: The VAIBHAV (VAIshwik BHArtiya Vaigyanik) Fellowship aims to foster collaboration between scientists of Indian origin working abroad and Indian academic and research institutions. It provides an opportunity for these fellows to spend time in India to work on joint research projects.
Question: What is the duration of the VAIBHAV Fellowship?
Answer: VAIBHAV Fellows can spend up to two months per year at the host Indian institution, for a maximum period of three years.
Question: Where do applicants submit their applications?
Answer: Applicants must submit their completed applications online through the DST's e-PMS portal.
Question: Will applicants receive confirmation of their submission?
Answer: Yes, after online submission, the applicant will receive a Temporary Project Number (TPN) generated by the system. This TPN should be used for all future correspondence.
Question: What educational qualifications are required for applicants?
Answer: Applicants must hold a Ph.D./M.D./M.S./M.Tech degree from a recognised University.
