About The Program
University of Kent GREAT Scholarship 2024 is a joint initiative of the UK Government's GREAT Britain campaign, the British Council, and the University of Kent, as part of the Study UK campaign. This scholarship is specifically for master's degree applicants from India, China, Kenya, Malaysia, Nigeria, or Thailand. The selected scholars will receive a one-time scholarship of £10,000 towards their tuition fees.

To be eligible, an applicant must:
- be a citizen of India, China, Kenya, Malaysia, Nigeria or Thailand
- be classified as an overseas fee-payer
- hold a conditional offer accepted before 26 April 2024
- be starting the course in September 2024
- demonstrate experience or strong interest in the subject area, supported by work experience if applicable
- be willing to embody the UK Higher Education experience, by attending lectures and tutorials and engaging with extra-curricular activities, and act as an ambassador for UK Higher Education by promoting the value of studying at a Higher Education institution (HEI), UK
- be willing to establish an engagement with the UK as a scholar, through personal and academic fulfilment
- be willing to attend a networking event of all UK-based GREAT scholars, to discuss experiences and capture perceptions of studying in the UK
Benefits
A total of 7 selected scholars will receive a one-time financial support of £10,000 (one-time) towards the tuition fees.

- A short paragraph (500 words maximum) about what has inspired the applicant to apply for the course of interest and what makes them the perfect candidate for this award
Note:- The documents must be uploaded in PDF format in less than 500 KB.

Eligible candidates can apply for the scholarship by following the steps mentioned below:

Step 4: Read the details carefully and fill out the required information after successfully registering on the portal.
Step 5: Upload the required documents, and click on the 'Submit' button.
Note:- Applicants must upload the documents in Word or PDF format only, other formats will be rejected.

- Candidates will be informed of the outcome of this award by June 28, 2024.
- The university reserves the right not to allocate the scholarships if the selection panel identifies no suitable candidates.
