About The Program
University of Kent GREAT Scholarship 2026 is a joint initiative of the UK Government's GREAT Britain campaign, the British Council, and the University of Kent, as part of the Study UK campaign. The selected scholars will receive a one-time scholarship of £10,000 towards their tuition fees.
EligibilityDeadline Date: Closed
To be eligible, an applicant must:
- be a citizen of India
- be classified as an overseas fee-payer
- hold a conditional offer accepted before 26 April 2026
- be starting the course in September 2026
- demonstrate experience or a strong interest in the subject area, supported by work experience if applicable
- be willing to embody the UK Higher Education experience, by attending lectures and tutorials and engaging with extra-curricular activities, and act as an ambassador for UK Higher Education by promoting the value of studying at a Higher Education institution (HEI), UK
- be willing to establish an engagement with the UK as a scholar, through personal and academic fulfilment
- be willing to attend a networking event of all UK-based GREAT scholars, to discuss experiences and capture perceptions of studying in the UK
Benefits
Selected candidates will receive a one-time financial support of £10,000 (one-time) towards the tuition fees.

- A short paragraph (500 words maximum) about what has inspired the applicant to apply for the course of interest and what makes them the perfect candidate for this award
